So I'm gonna pull the trigger and order a new SLO rain fly. Do any of you have a picture of the "Texas Tan" color? on the website, there is just a swatch but Id like to see the whole thing. Debating between that and the "Silver".

Well damn that actually does look really good. I just ordered it last night and talked myself into the “Charcoal” color to match the magnetic gray.

I’ve got an SLO now and it’s pretty easy to deploy while flipping the bunk over but it’s from the previous owner so it’s not perfect. So figured it was time to get a new one after a really terrible night in a torrential down pour haha. So might just keep it as a spare or I might post it up for sale too if anyone is interested.

For sure I just ordered the new one and they said it’ll probably take two weeks + shipping time before I get it. So toward the end of the month I’ll shoot you a PM and see if you’re still interested if that works.

Alright fellas had a heck of a day (more like 3 hours) workin on the FlipPac. On Tuesday I got some Sawy-A-Way hinges and got a few friends over to help take the FlipPac off the truck. We had to pry and hammer out the old hinges, damn they were in there. Cleaned out the holes and spray painted them with some rustoleum. The pac is in the garage till tomorrow until I can get the new hinges in and hopefully the torsion bar. Also the truck looks like a toy without the FlipPac haha.

I think I've officially taken over this particular page haha.

Anyway, now that I've got the new hinges and torsion bar in I'd like to install the hood pins. How in the heck did you guys mount them? A washer and a sheet metal screw?

Has anyone had issues with the lid of their flippac not flipping closed perfectly square? When I close mine the back end is tweaked at least an inch to the driver side, such that I have to pull very hard from right to left on the lid to get the passenger latch to catch.

Mine does that too. I think it’s just a “Flippac thing” :notsure:

Awesome thanks you've got some good stuff in your build thread.

Mine used to close perfectly but after I installed the new torsion bar and the hinges I'm having the same issue it's off a bit in the back and needs to be latched first on the passenger side. I did notice when I took out the hinges that the holes where the bolts go through the FlipPac are a little oblong rather than circular. I was going to loosen everything and see if I can move the hinges again a bit to see if I can get the top to line up a little better.

The only thing close currently in production that is similar is the AT Habitat. The main difference is it opens up towards the back and not over the cab.
Base price of $8900 last time I looked.

How's it going everyone. New to the forum here. I've had my Flippac about 9 months now and the back of it has a crack that has gotten worse since I purchased it. As you can see it's starting to bow and not seal in the back. I've seen this crack in the same place on other Flippacs but cant seem to find any info on it. Any tips on how to fix this or how its constructed through that part of the camper? Thanks in advance!

Well that’s a shame and of course right in time for camping season huh? Are you thinking about replacing it?
