Looks like a heap of fun. Cool having your bed separate from everything else and not having to tiptoe around your bedding isn’t it.

All the options that came with mine were installed by Adventure Trailers before I picked it up. I know that doesn’t help but the original invoice didn’t list a brand name either.

Definitely one of the best parts about it for sure. No worries figured I'd ask I'll have to drop by a shell dealer this weekend and see what they say.

Before you start cutting holes for windows, study the internal wiring that’s glued under the carpet upholstery. You should be able to feel it with your hand after a few passes across it. Hopefully yours will run the length high enough to not be damaged.

From what I can tell the wiring for the light closest to the cab runs down to the base of the shell that rests on bed rails, from there is runs back to the tailgate. If I can find some windows that will work, since the windows will be out, I've thought about replacing the carpet and updating the wiring/lights. The latter I'm comfortable with but I have absolutely no idea how to lay new carpeting maybe a different material? Not sure how that would affect any condensation though.

The mildew remover is more for my back patio, nothing really on the tent. Nikwax Mainly for the rainfly, but should I put it on the tent too? Coleman Seam sealer is a roll on, how heavy should I go?

It’s GTs FP, he’d better input.
7 nights so far, but not in any rain. Still haven’t put the fly on in the field. Just curious what needs to be done vs what can or should be done. Thinking a CO trip in August with some other Razorbacks

It has rained on me the last three times I’ve been out with the Flippac.
Each time I had of the rain fly installed and was completely dry. :D

Most recently last Sat night in the Nj pine barrens

I never did anything to the rainfly but I did spray the whole tent exterior with two coats of nikwax on the outside and after a weeks drying time two exterior coats of that Sawyer brand permethrin insect repellent.

I haven’t had my FP for long (two night out so far) but the previous owner used Nikwax on all the the seams of the tent and SLO rain fly then went back and used some other weatherproof silicon spray I have no idea what brand. Anyway it rained both nights on and off and nothing was wet so I’d say it worked well.

My torsion bar on my flippac is broken and needs to be replaced. Looks like I can get a replacement bar from sway away. Does anyone know of someone who has experience replacing them in Colorado? Thanks!

I’m no help with a replacement in CO but if you go with the sway away route make sure the splines match up. The bar I have not match up so it needs some filing to get it to work. I’ve been using the “torsion bar delete” mod which works pretty well. If you find a place to do the work let us know I’d also be interested!!

Also on a side note my decal was kind of falling apart so I got a new one printed. I need to make some adjustments to the final version.

Mine was replaced before I purchased it. I know that it has to be at a 90° angle in order to install it But that’s about it.

Put a spacer in between the flippac and the bed rail. Problem solved.
I plan on doing this to mine anyway to allow space for my prinsu rack and in-bed tiedowns.

Replace the back door with one from a shell designed for a 3rd gen.

I'm sure FlipPac used a standard, off the shelf door when they built it originally. With a little research, I think you could find a door that fits the shell and the curve of your new tailgate.

Here’s what GT added and I’m continuing to appreciate . Besides the spacers on the outside they’re great for tarp or Hammock tie offs. Inside they’re great for anchoring all my gear and for mounting fast grips.
