With the skidplate on I see no way to use the tow hook. It's directly behind the plate on the passenger (if I recall correctly) side, so there's no real way to access the hook. All you need are allen wrenches to pull the skid plate off, but if your sunk down or under water, it would be a huge PITA to take it off.

yea its on the passenger side, I can still get to it and attach a line but i imagine the line would prob pull against the plate and dent it?

The amount of force that would be put on the skid plate (assuming you fed it underneath the plate and up) would definitely be enough to bend if not completely trash the skid plate, and possibly the bull bar.

If your going off roading, it would be best to pull the bull bar completely (which also will help approach angle) or remove the skid plate. Either way, bullbars are best left for trucks that spend a majority of their time on the pavement.

I also like the look without the skid plate as well, seems more aggressive to me somehow. I liked the look of the bullbar on my truck, but I really like the blacked out lower valence I have now more. I also plan on ditching the stock bumper at somepoint down the line anyway...

yea i figured it's prob best to take it off for offroading, but i'm lazy, and it's not perfectly aligned, so instead of the simple 2 bolts on each side, i'd have to take off the brackets too, and then readjust as necessary, I guess i'll figure it out if I ever go offroading

I'm still hunting a topper. Want one with a roof rack and prefer an electronic lock. Needs to be 5' and would prefer white but at this point I'd be willing to get it painted if everything else was what I wanted. Closer to Lauderdale the better.

I agree even though my truck is 2wd, I think the front end looks better without it. It'll look even better once I pick up that bumper tomorrow!

Blacked out emblems, Weathertech liners, LED interior, tag, and 3rd brake light, reverse light mod, rear TSB, rear diff. breather, added black factory running boards, OR tow hook, and rhino lined UWS low profile box.
Not exactly what you're looking for, but saw it on CL.

I still have my factory spaare tire (tire only) if anyone wants it, FREE, need to get it out of my garage. It was on my spare wheel but i dont think it was ever used. PM me if you want it, but you have to come to sanford or debary or somewhere somewhat close to get it. It is 265/65/17

i'd like it, but don't necessarily need it, it could replace on of my used dunlops for my sport wheels, but I prob won't make a trip to orlando for another month or so, if even, so if anybody claims it before i can pick it up, that's cool, but please don't toss it in the trash
