Very true , reasoning for my 18" wheel size is because most new 2017 or 2016 wheel will come with a decent size tire. I don't want stock wheel of 16" with smaller tire . I may redo my whole suspension but is cheaper for me to buy another car in some cases . I don't want anoher car I want stock wheels to drive to work and be able to drive my Truck that I love driving .

 

Doesn't resolve the fender gap issue.

 

Wheel size is not going to Change gap. It's tire size. You could put a 20inch wheel with a 35 and it's still a 35. You go down a tire size your making the gap bigger

 

I'll have to get some. 4 door with 94k miles. Interior is clean, body is an great shape with minor blemishes. Will need new tires though soon.

So I git ahold of homeboy that barely speaks English about the driveshaft. It's out of a 2wd which I assume driveshaft is a different length due to no transfer case. Too bad was a good deal

 

Have you checked with a local driveshaft shop on having yours re-tubed? They might even be ale to go to a thicker wall tube than the factory sheet metal. I had shop in St Pete re-tubed and balanced both my front and rear 4runner shafts for $250.

Yeah, not interchangeable. 05-12 4x2 shaft is 371000438000 and the 4x4 version is 3710004321. That's assuming a DCSB with 127 inch wheelbase.

 

Doms truck is a access cab 4x4

 

Its the same wheel base

 

I have not really done much h of anything with it yet, but it's a great idea. Do you remember the name of the shop? I don't trust any of the places around here.

I forgot until I looked at the receipt that they had to replace one of the joints to get it to balance correctly. They even managed to balance my front shaft with a trail gear long slip shaft that is not supposed to be able to be balanced. Took them about 3 days, very reasonable I thought.
