I just bought a dual cb antenna kit (it was 10$ more then a single) im only going to use one antenna and sell the other one. do any of you know if i can use the dual coax cable that came with it and just cut one side off? getting the max distance doesn't matter i plan on using it on trails. thank

I don't think you can use the cable. It has a different resistance than a single antenna coax, IIRC. It may not matter if you're not concerned with getting out very far, but then again, it might fry your radio, so better safe than sorry.

Look up Right channel radios. They have a pretty good how-to and what-for section.

It's all good. 18 more days till we wheel!!! I'm getting really anxious to get out there. I might have to hit the lake Mary spot to curve the itch.
