The Florida Panhandle and Surrounding Area Tacos Thread Thing

sounds good to me, it is stupid, I looked up the laws regarding that...Okaloosa county and the neighboring counties are anti-dog on the beaches...none are allowed anywhere pretty much on the damn panhandle....ridiculous. I was gonna bring Dakota to the beach the other day and found that out...gotta love being a part of anti-dog areas......

 

The closest place that doesn't care is Cape San Blas, almost 3 hours away. Looks like a cool place but that's an entire day commitment, I usually just want to go for an hour or so since I don't set up a camp with shade.

I was wishing I had a water system though. I think next time I'll just strap down a big cooler and fill it with hose water.

 

just got the pre-delivery call, driver asked to give him 30ish minutes so he can finish getting on base and Ill be going there to meet him to pick my fenders up!

 

I've come across that system before, pretty nice. My main concerns would be slider compatibility for the lower mount or getting burned using the bed mounted version.

I keep imagining getting a swingout for my spare, then finding/building a tank to go in the factory spare location. Then again, it's probably something that should be removable, I don't know.

 

Hey guys, I am new to this thread. Not sure how many of you are from around Pensacola, but I am always driving around. I sometimes see other lifted Tacomas, but I just wanted to introduce myself.

 

They got a little damaged but only by the bottom that wraps around the bottom end of the fender area. Nothing a little amateur fiberglass reinforcement and bonds can't fix!

This is the extent of the damage from shipping, just the part on the bottom part where it wraps underneath. Nothing a little fiberglass repair kit and bondo can't fix

 

The Hurlburt Field auto hobby shop is not closed for construction, their hours are:

Monday: Closed
Tuesday-Thursday: 0900-2000
Friday-Sunday: 0900-1600

 

well...I know that lol....last time I was there they only had like 2 stalls open since the rest were being redone. Are they all done with the renovating?

I would just meet you at the visitors center at the front gate. As you pull in, there is a few parking spots on the left side on the base entrance. Just meet you there, show my military ID and your drivers license to the visitors center, and they give you a day pass for base. I will double check everything tomorrow to be positive, but it's quick and painless

 

OK. Well let me know what time, and remind me where the main gate is located. I have never been on the base here.

 

I do like San Blas. I'm planning a camping trip down there next year. I wish I still lived closer to the panhandle. We used to go to Mexico Beach pretty regularly.

 

For a time interested, I have a bear hunting trip in the works for late October around the Tindle area (about 2 hours east of here).

If anyone wants some info about it, shoot me a PM so I can get you more info once it is all planned out on my end.

 

Yes, the little ones. The closer you get to the equator, the smaller wildlife gets, because science. They are nothing compared to the Grizzlies I have gone after in Washington State!
