They were doing a video shoot for the new TRD Pro Tundra and I showed up and stole the show. Haha they filmed me a lot and took down my name number and email.

I still think it's the front main seal. Haven't had time to mess with it.

Nope. Taco still has an oil leak, dirt bike blew up day 1 at the dunes, day 2 I broke an axle and a sidewall on a tire... that was with me babying it because of the oil leak...

Yep... I got the axle swapped for my NAPA spare and threw my spare tire on already. I have 2 new tires at home for the front and I'll trade my broke CV for another one from NAPA. I have the new seal but need to get it in.

The dirtbike is up in the air... I'm hoping to pick some stuff up on ebay but I've got to do some research first.

If I were you I'd swap in a CR500 motor. I love me some CR500 in the dunes! Plus it's so simple you can rebuild one with a leatherman and $80 in parts.

You have to do some extensive frame modification to the 450's I guess. And with the aluminum frame it's that much harder to find someone good at welding aluminum.

It's not that hard. You just mod the front cradle with 1" square tubing that slides inside the frame. There are a few dudes who make kits that any fab shop can fry in pretty easy. I've always been partial to the original steel frame myself, but the modern suspension is nice.

My cousin looked into it pretty heavily when he blew his bike up last fall and he said the 500 doesn't fit inside the frame so you have to cut the frame apart to make room for it. He said most guys start with the 250F frame as they fit better in there.

The 250's are easier, it's true, but the 450 requires four cuts. See the square tubing above? Where it connects kinda by the footpeg and at the head stem you slice the original part out, and either build or buy a new engine cradle based on the 500 motor. It slides right into the female 1.125" receiver, and you weld it up. Really simple for any fab shop, especially if you buy a pre built cradle. That said, it may be cheaper in the end to rebuild what you have.
