Used to have it all laid out. Got tired of keeping it up to date, plus it's kind of like a grocery list for potential theft. Though I keep mine in my garage now so it's a bit safer I guess.

I'll answers questions about stuff you want to know specifically though.

Forged internals? haha. I don't think it's worth sleeving... Last I knew that was about $10K itself... Maybe @Torspd will part with Goldylocks when his stroker is done;)

Maybe. I've rode in a few stock TRD S/C'd trucks and wasn't that impressed with the extra power. Though adding a smaller pulley would certainly help, but reliably you are looking at about 350 RWHP from a 1GR with a TRD S/C. A stock L92 is probably about 350 RWHP (403 HP at the crank). The L92 stock internals are good for up to 600HP and a lot of guys are getting 500RWHP out of them by just adding the Corvette intake and a little more aggressive tune. The difference in RWHP between the 2 setups is almost as much as my stock 1GR is putting down at the wheels! There's no replacement for displacement! 6.2L > 4.0L

Plus that 6L80E is a much tougher trans, I would have a lower 1st gear and a higher overdrive, plus the Tcase will be stronger and lower geared than my Taco Tcase.

Sleeving is only about $2200. Not cheap, but definitely not crazy expensive either. LCE could do that work for you. Get some JE or CP pistons ($800 - 1100) and some Molnar rods (~$700) , like @armyoffoo and you'd be done.

If the sleeves aren't needed, then rods and pistons. Engine build can be cheap or expensive. You just have to weigh all of your options and time frames. Then go from there.

First and foremost is clearly knowing the full extent of damage, to determine how much work is needed.

Weighing everything includes doing a swap. As that might be preferable. There are many more in's and out's to those. So a lot more has to be considered. No forgetting fitments, and what possible work arounds to be able to keep all desired drive components. Keep in mind, which every way is chosen, the money to be spent, along with how long it will take, add up very quickly in the small details and parts.

A comprehensive outline is the most effective tool in helping you decide which path to take, as well as all of the associated costs. Then you'll have it right in front of you.

Oh. I might part with Goldylocks. I have no definitive plans other than restoration and proof of power. My stroker isn't all that far behind in terms of being completed. So I'll just use Goldy for the time being. Dyno her up, and wait for the beast to show up. :D

Well Tor's frame is still alive and he hit 475 at the wheels! I'd bet I have a lot more steel welded onto mine than he does.

Yeah I am sorting of working that out. It's all the fine details of what will be needed for an LS swap that are hard to work out. As for time, it could be unlimited. The Taco is just for wheeling, We have another truck and a car for DD's plus dirt bikes for offroading. I'd just be missing rock crawling and snow wheeling.

I could potentially do an Atlas 4spd Tcase with the LS swap too! If I do the 11.7:1 low I'd be geared a little lower than a Taco running a 4.7:1 crawlbox in compound low!
