Ona build not i ran out of welding gas right as the store closed :frusty:

So got little done today. Started the hoop but nothing worth posting. I also decided to add another bolt in the center for better stability. Just see,Ed like the middle two lights shook more then the outers. So that'll get added too.

Ill pre fab up the bolt mount tomorrow as I need to pick up another bolt too.

Then on Monday finish the hoop.

My Blitzpro led lights come Monday as well :yay:

Then I need to decide if I want to go buy some new mesh for the flooring or reuse my old stuff..

Sick light bar monte, I like it.Maybe you should conider mounting some sort of electric motor to run the hinge too? Also, I wanted to know that I now share your semi-useless mudflap predicament, since I've seen a few comments about it haha.

Haha!! Nice! Not quite a pointless as mine but still shoots a good rooster tail I'm sure :D

And thanks man. I though about getting that fancy..but decided that would be to complex and this way less can fail. I really only want them folded down for hwy driving. Rest of the time they will be up. Takes very little time to just open the door and stand on the slider to work three wing nuts haha

Oh, It does. I just decided to put them on so maybe people wont take me for so much of a dick when I get on the highway with muddy tires. And yea, I kind of wish I could do that with mine, It would surely help with wind drag.

Yea that's why I made it like this this time haha wind drag for me when I drove it down to Moab(only time I drove with it on the hwy haha) wind drag was HORRIBLE. 50mph up like every hill haha

So, second time around..lights go down :D

And yea they actually help keep shit out from under the truck too..why mine are still on haha

Lets do a flat bed with short side rails. I've always liked the way flat bed look. We can also make it work with the rack and the RRT.:p

How do you like the hinge idea? Not as complex as making one with big joints.

i dig it man, thats a pretty slick way to set those. Hopefully they wont rattle at all. The only thing I would want to add would be a way to support the lights on the back maybe. But that wing nut might do the trick fine.

After I add the middle bolt it'll be as solid as if they were mounted solid to the rack. It's already really solid. They are gonna shake just a bit anyways due to it being a suspended rack and not bolted. But shouldn't be horrible.

    Time will tell.

Yea I meant that, and a bar that would come off that to the back as extra support, but i was thinking one that would fold in on itself so it can still fold down.
