Yours would be a bit tricker I think..some guy on TTORA did it to his 2nd gen though.

I know I can make one bolt up to my tranny with a kit pretty easy.

Just wiring that'll be a pain.

I have full plans on a tranny swap already. Just un-decided on which engine to go with. would be sweet to see a V8 in your first gen! Should have some get up and go!

considering T-56 or turbo 400, we will see when it comes down to it. Want to get 425-475 out of the motor eventually as well. so they will probably both go at the same time and some fab work to push em back a few inches as well.

I have a ballpark on parts. As for fab work and install i have no f'ing clue lol. I dont forsee me doing it for another few years till I get used to my new set-up. But im always planning ahead so I dont have to re-do anything for future plans.

you can get an LS1 for 2000ish a sealed LS3 for 6K ish and a good T56 can cost roughly 5K if built correctly. Gotta pay to play...

    A lot haha

Ahhh gotcha. Big power huh? I would go nuts with personally but that's cool

You know a 2uz TRD sc should bolt up to a 3uz too haha

I'm just gonna do a bit. Probably not a ton of work.

Yea if you can't do it yourself..a ton.

I was considering a S/C untill i swap. And unfortunately for me I dont have the time or the shop to do it so it would be at the shop. And I would consider center mounting it if I was going that far haha.

how much power would you get with the S/C on that bad boy?!

    Impossible.

You'll add something I'm sure at some point. Especially once the season hits again haha

For as much as lockers cost, I figure I am going to use them every chance I get. Why spend all that money to use it hardly ever. Plus it is less wear and tear on the vehicle to just walk up some obstacles rather than bump and/or spin up them.
Says that guy running factory 4.56's:rolleyes:
I was thinking the 4.6L out of the 2nd gen Tundra's would be sweet then I could run the 6 spd auto with it, with that 6 spd I could regear to like 7:1 diff gears (I know they don't exist, just making a point) and still run at a reasonable rpm at 75mph:D I wonder if TRD makes an S/C for that motor (just checked and I think that is a no...). Although by the time I could afford that kind of a swap I could probably afford to pay some shop to do a custom mount front turbo setup on it. haha

Eh. If you can make it up without spinning..i don't see why its needed. I think personally id enjoy the use of a crawl box more. But id take both really :p

4.6 is a nice motor too. No SC though. Id probably just leave that motor alone. I don't think there is a lot of after market support.

I wonder how much bigger and heavier the 5.7 is over the 4.6:drool: I just don't want the 5.7 tranny... It is geared pretty high... Would be sweet if the 4.6 tranny would bolt up to the 5.7 though. Then just get the TRD S/C and put down shit tons of power all day long!!
