Also a larger ring and pinion. 8" compared to 7.5", bot mostly because it potentially stronger.

I think it has more to do with the CV's themselves being stronger. 1st gen guys running 35's and up can blow up cv's all day long while 2nd gens run 35's all day long with few issues and there are several guys running even bigger tires that haven't had any cv issues that I am aware of.

I'd just use tundra axles. I don't have manual hubs.

Yes diff and cvs are stronger. Would like to have a front locker too

Yep. But diff is stronger too.

    Exactly haha

The more I have been thinking about it the more I think ill just do a front frame swap. Literally take a 2nd gen frame from just the front a swap it out

    Should be interesting

Anyways. Update time! Jon came over this week to stop by for a couple if days. I traded him some lights for his Xrc8 winch and we mounted it up. STOKED! Just gonna get a new fair lead.

    Pics:

Mounting. Good thing he was here. My hands were too big

United the solenoid in the bumper right next to it. Thought it was pretty slick spot for it really!

Order a new fair lead. Lucky for me their is lots of room to still attach the synthetic rope.

Now the cool part. I extended the plug for the controller...to the cab..:D

Easy to get to in the cab and out of the cab through the window.

Eibachs seem to take the weight okay. Ride hieght isn't effected...yet. Bumps are smoother and I'm gonna have to grime my fenders again from hitting more now ha

Then this morning redid my rear bumper latch AGAIN. This time will my new 2000lb one though

    Old shit latch

    Paint is drying now.

Big thanks to Jon for all his help and the winch!

No I wanted them. But LT turned me away from them.

You still use tundra axles but you have to swap out the outer knuckle of a manual hub cv for the tundra axle. Didn't want to do that. Be a pain for spares too.
