    ECGS would be about 700 a diff. But if you can pay them up front the additional 200 a diif, so 900ish a diff or 1800 total, then they will just ship you new diffs. You then use the same shipping box and they give you a shipping label and you send them your old diffs. They then refund you the 200 each diff.

    Or something like that..don't quote me on the cost numbers. But around that much money. So really 2 diffs from ECGS would be about 1300-1400ish and your truck won't have down time.

    Parts list is good..not add some labor too that..haha plus like i said, Toyota diffs are know for being harder to setup up right then ford or chevy diffs. So find a shop that has experience with them if you can.

    Id get a master kit for the rear though..of maybe the kit you found is a master..

    hahahahaha yes..wheel travel much more important for wheeling then malling it up hahaha

    the bumper will be sweet :cool:

    Now going through what all I'd need, you were damn right about that!!



    Okay so to transition a little, I can already notice that the truck is a little sluggish with 33s but not terrible to the point that I need to re-gear. If I get the front bumper & winch... will the power be terrible, or am I just psyching myself out?

    FYI that's all the gear I'm gonna get, well maybe a rear bumper from Tim down the road... but that was a given :cool: lol

    It helps bring back the power but everything eventually ads up.

    Once you hit a hill on the high way that is when you'll really notice.

    Needed right away? Nah. Eventually? You bet. Everyone that does it loves it.

    But..hell I have been on 4.10s this whole time. But god am I ready to regear. I can pull a hill unless in 3rd gear and 4000rpms haha

    I'll compare with my Dad's stock Tacoma with mine and see how much RPMs I've lost with the 33s when we go to climb the mountain pass together.

    Hmm okay maybe I'll get a winch and worry bout the re-gear for when I have a little more money & start working for Uncle Sam :cool:

    Yea nothing wrong with waiting. I didn't think it was that bad with just a bumper and 33s. Pretty much past that point though..sucked haha

    Yea I got 33s, bumper, and a winch and I'm pretty content with the amount of power I have. I personally am not gonna regear until I go to 35s kinda like you're doing.

    I would have regeared sooner if I could have. Thing that held me back was I wanted dual lockers too. But never could cough up the 3k for it. So I waited. Now I'm going to regear anyways with still no lockers haha hopefully very soon.

    On mine and it looks the same on Cody's, there is no room to mount the LF's closer to the grill. Your grill is flat where our's is curved. Not sure where the '98-'00s fit in all that.

    Hah yeah well I don't think I'll ever have as much gear as you. Bed rack, rooftop tent, skids, sliders, bumpers, winch. That's a lot of weight, no wonder you're no stranger to hills & 3rd gear :rolleyes:

    And right I sorta figured the grill stuck out more. I could move mine back about an inch if I wanted too.


    Almost 6000lbs with camp gear :anonymous:

    Be about 5500 "empty" I bet after 35s. And I still haven't made a bell skid..plus

    Weight is an issue no doubt for me..

    I have a plan to get over the power issue tho

    Monte, i'm ordering my torque wrench tonight and i feel like spending money so, you think I need 3/8ths and 1/4 in h ratchet/socket sets, or just 3/8ths?
    I'm getting SAE and metric, but i want it fairly small, i want it behind the back seat.

    I have a Stanely 201 piece kit that has 3/8 and 1/4 and would probably fit behind the back seat.

    Honestly, having both sizes is very nice. There are places where a 3/8s ratchet are just to big. and of course 1/4 won't hold the torque a 3/8s will.

    Id get a big kit if you can with both. But if you HAVE to choose id say go for 3/8s. Its probably the size i use the most.
