Dual swing outs isn't a bad idea. Very much custom tho..if freak TTORA would work I'd show a great example of this

    Ok
I'll look into lengthening the bed.
Can't bob the quad, if the bed was 4'' longer it'd work.

i really wouldn't..tons of custom body work = VERY expensive..and..again..it'll look werid a hell..

could get a bumper like this made..

thread: Really though..just get a small tailer..be cheaper and simplier and more useful in the long run. Cause lets be honest, if you take the quad..your not gonna be 4x4ing the truck much anyways.

yea could just extend the front part of the frame..and the brake lines..and fuel lines..and drive shaft..and wires..and just just put on a 6' bed..

still not worth it though IMO. Way to much work and money for that.

small trailer is the best solution to this problem.

    i thought i read that was a PS..haha

id never buy one. Too long.

No way could a 6' bed just bolt up..the mouts would be all off. The double cab and extended cabs have the the same frame.

Either way..way too much work and money for 1' of bed space.

A 600 dollar trailer will give you the same solution for a quad..and give you more space in general. And you can use it for other things.

Nope, very happy with them both.
I don't think so, if i angled it it'd kick the one side out.
and the front tires are already up against the front of the bed, the one side is on the wheel well, the other side is on blocks to keep it balanced.

Yeah, but if i took the swing out off then i lose my spare.

that design is so you can keep the spares on with the bikes..or quads.

If you planning on a trailer eventually..just wait for that. your just making this way to complicated then it needs to be. Im sure your also going for the uniqueness of it. But really..not worth it. Especially if your going to start offroading more with the truck.

Why? haha i don't think it would be cool at all as a street queen..its really not that cool..just me though i guess..

id rather have a 5 lugger and turbo it for a street queen taco..

seems like he still have to move everything back and make new mounts up front..

    so..definetly not bolt on.

I can sorta see toyota making a few random ones..toyota loves doing that stuff..haha

    still would not buy one.

i think it would be a lot more work then you'd plan on...

plus finding a nice bed for a good price..not cheap in itself. Most junk yards charge a grand for one..i know..haha

and if its so rare..why would you mod it? if you feel like is unique and rare like that..shouldn't you leave it stock? haha

I think they make them. Would have to ask..I'd assume so. Seen em in several tacomas and tundras. Either that or MCM makes his own for them. Most fabricators could.

DSMS doesn't sell them. MCM is a dealer tho.

That Tacoma is not far from my house. I keep forgetting to snap pictures of the frame and talk to the owner. This topic seems to come up a lot
