That will be the one that I'm looking forward to the most. Just seeing the write-up for the rear makes me confident. You better make the front look just as easy so I can build up the confidence! Haha

Just after seeing Bullhas catch his truck on fire has me worried. Haha I'm just wanting to try and put it off for as long as I can or at least until I do a bunch of maintenance and regear.

yea regear is a big one IMO. That'll be next i hope. Be saving as much as possible this semester.

Plus..knowing how to weld is important and having a nice welder to setup right for the freaking thin ass body metal..haha

enjoy your 33s for now. Id get more armor and keep up on maintenance and drive the piss out of it for a least a few year till the tires are almost done.

Yeah, hoping that regear is the next big mod once maintenance and skids are done.

Welder will be bought as soon as I get a garage, which hopefully will be within this year.

I've got about 12,000 miles on the tires now. And that was with about four 8 hour trips home and the 24 hours of driving to New Mexico and back. Now that I'm driving maybe 40 miles a week, these should last me long enough to get a regear accomplished.

Speaking of skids though, when is that belly skid going to happen?

that'll be this summer. So stoked for that too. I was kinda holding off to maybe wait till i got a crawl box as id clock it so then my belly pan would be a flat belly setup..guess ill wait. My idea is gonna be nice though.....hopefully...haha still be UHMW

yea cause where it attaches to the fender is the very bottom..exactly where you cut haha sure you could cut it and bend it and maybe spot weld it back to the bed side..but..not worth burning the paint off the bed side. Its not bad but not as sturdy as it was.

did you try going back and tightening the leaf pin? maybe you just need one of those little u brackets on the pack to keep it together

i have the retainer clips still..sorta..but the AAL sits a leaf below the leaf with them in.

yea tightening the bolt could help. Ill use the 1/2'' impact next time when i replace the bent AAL.

Nice work Monte! I was sub'd to your build, but hadn't seen it pop up in quite a while. Turns out I was unsub'd somehow. Now I gotta go back and catch up, haha!

Just a word of caution - moisture can and will work its way into that edge molding and start to rust away at the exposed edge. For the longevity of the modification and your bedside, it might be a good idea to hit that exposed edge with some primer/paint prior to putting the molding on. Just a thought...
