    Mark good catch. I've been studying for the series 6 and I'm thinking investments all day now. Zombie mode.

    Can't see why Bobby would lie, he straight told me he doesn't make anything more than free marketing. I can only assume he is at least being compensated for his time. I doubt he is getting more than 10% net profit

    and thats crazy haha! less than 10% I think thats even less profitable than farming, and farming is about the least profitable industry out there

    I certainly didn't mean to imply he is getting rich with my "$150K" comment. Even at a 50% markup that is discounted 30%, the margins are narrow. Then you add the cost of the store front, the building he is in is substantial, I'm sure square footage is not cheap. Also add in payroll, there was an employee last year, assume its still a similar situation.

    haha dude i don't care about trannies. I own both remember?? A manual is more fun to me no matter what. autos are nice though.

    but i need to regear as i weigh so damn much and the big tires..just puts too much strain on the clutch...although it is brand new and ceramic...so...maybe i could test how bad ass it actually is for TG...:p hahaha

    i would probably be okay with an auto..but..it still puts a lot of strain on it without regearing. Tempts would be through the roof from all the slipping id guess. good way to cook a tranny. Not that its common. But, is a possibility.

    And seeing as i can't rely on your friend to have the diffs available..i probably won't be regeared till mid summer.

    Yea its fun no doubt. Its big though. If you don't like big meets probably won't like it. But it is great to meet most of active people there..well..not most..but a good portion. I had a blast last time despite the set backs i had on my life.

    Need to make a smaller expedition run with us some time :cool:

    True all around Mike. Regardless, it is a smart move by Bobby. I haven't done much research on competition for him, but he defiantly had a large customer base and referrals based solely off these events.

    Monte, ill join an expedition one day. :) I'm very excited to get the new bedrack tyler is about to finish. It'll open up a lot of options that I've wanted for adventures

    Im just playing devils advocate here...but money talks, i feel like ive heard that somewhere before. If you can get him some cash, maybe a deposit? I dont see any reason why he wont sell em to you. MAYBE, if we ever find out where out meets are going to be i might be able to bring them to you over the summer?     what gauge did you say you ended up using for the tub? Did you get 22 then switch to 20 and it worked better?

    I wouldn't be surprised if he was only seeing 10-15% margin after a 30% hit. Just my $.02. Been in manuf, retail, and wholesale business for some time, specifically working with chinese suppliers. Group buys, trade show deals, groupons, warehouse store sales are really more about liquidating old inventory and/or creating a buzz (advertising).

    The hardest part about the front diff is not having a 3rd hand... It's not real heavy, but you mix it's weight with the tight space and awkward positioning and you almost need a 2nd person so one can hold the diff steady and the other can guide it in and get the threads started.

    Konsta wants to sell those diffs ASAP so he can sink that money into parts for the SAC/SAS so he can try to get as much of it done this summer as possible, and as he expected there is a high demand for the diffs, to the point that people are practically fighting each other for them...
