It did seem to read high. I've weighed mine several times locally on DOT scales since then. I would guess that scale we all used read from 300-500 lbs high.

 

Plus..I'm gonna be carrying a hell of a lot more spare parts then normal

 

It's the only one I have used. I know they use it a lot for farm stuff. Hay and livestock

 

You would be amazed at how fast the weight adds up with gear man..seriously. 5 gal of gas is like 40lbs almost alone. Water is heavy. 8.6lbs a gal. It adds up faster then you would think.

 

I'd believe it. I bet I pack almost 1000lbs or more. Bet mike does too

 

This is so fucking true. I filled up my blue water container, almost a mistake. Helluva time getting up onto the tailgate. I think I need to start crossfit or something.

Close I would guess. That is why I think that scale reads high. I've had it fully loaded and only weighed 4800-4900 hear. In Powell I was 5400.

 

So what I am taking away from this is pack a water filter and don't drive gas guzzling frank.
