Haha no. Sits about level. But I had 2" of rake....so yea haha

    Nope haha

I actually think it'll be okay. Once I romp on it a bit and get the skid back on. Just new springs.

They will for sure. Couple good womps on those springs and they'll settle into normality. But FFS, you've got an 18" spring, and you and Frank typically crawl so you want those things to move.
Rule of thumb...longest and lightest weight spring you can without a shit-ton of preload and the ride height you want.
From that point it's all valving.

Nah I actual romp Frank hard..hard as blown 5100s would let me..I like going fast  lots of places for it here.

I will beat on them hard. Need to get the rear shocks setup though before I can really go nuts.

That's the logic on why I went with 700s. Cause I figured I'd have no preload. And I don't and probably never will.
    :notsure:

Time will tell. I'll make the swap this summer to a 600 or 650lb coil if I have too.

LOL. This thread certainly proves that. I didn't mean to insinuate you don't drive the piss out of her...him...it...whatever.

You still want some preload though. It helps with shock rebound and you still want your suspension to cycle. But for the crawly stuff...hard to push those fat springs around. My old 600's are a UPS label away if you want to try them out later down the road.

I threw you a bone in the LT thread.
Brew up a pot of coffee with redbull instead of water and shutdown the porn tabs. You're going to be up a while.

No worries man I know that's not what you meant. I certainly don't go through the whoops like you but I still get into troubled.haha

True about the crawling though..I'll find out tomorrow I hope when I go try and flex it.

Don't all 18" coils have some preload though?? Since they don't fit..

I may take you up on the 600s at some point. See how it goes

    It's where the magic is

I'm still shaking off my Christmas hangover and don't completely understand what you're asking...but here goes anyway.

No coilover should have any slack between the lower spring perch and the upper adjuster at full extension. Basically would mean you have zero spring rate at full droop. I can squeeze my 18's on my kings with the king flat spring seat and the adjuster all the way at the top and still have a tiny bit of slack in the spring. The ADS lower seat is slightly tapered so I assume that takes up more real estate than mine does and would mean preloading the coil.

Right. Yes the lower seats on mine are tapered so I know they have some preload on them. Probably 1" at least.

There is 0 slack in them fully extended.

Measure the length of the spring on the coilover at full extension and that'll tell you how much it's preloaded.

Regardless, you're on the right path. Run what you brung and adjust later. No sense in buyer's remorse at this point. I'm still popcorning no matter what. Get those valving numbers from Matt and text it to me too. We'll get Frank dialed one way or another.

Monte with my 600lb eibachs I have about an inch of preload. Riding a little brah all loaded up. Hope the 600lb flex nice. Going to wait to see if they settle. Also ordered a spanner from ads for 40 bucks.

Don't know.. looks to be about 2 inch higher in the front when I'm fully loaded in the rear. Hopefully it will settle a bit then I'll drop it an inch in the front.

What's this tall about going to 37??? Shit man I would love to but don't want to regear again!
