    Those are trailing arms. They are lower coilover mounts. Yea for crawling not totally ideal, but awesome for go fast.

    What exactly would make a trailing arm too short? And what is the advantage to a longer trailing arm?

    Just looking at the diagrams for all 3, using the front shock mount, all 3 lengths have similar shock to axle travel ratios. For rock crawling I would think the shorter arms will provide better clearance and be ideal since the differences in travel as so small.



    I just measured my driveshaft from carrier bearing u-joint to pinion flange and it is only 44" long so I could see 48's being a bit short in my case. I might end up with too much pinion angle change (whatever the term is for that) and bind up u-joints too easy or something.

    I'd probably have to get a solid drive shaft with links anyways.

    55" seems like the best size to me. But I'd have to check the math for it all that.

    I'm not building a rock crawler either. Never was. Not now either. Besides. They just become skids anyways.

    I still have stock rotors and can't remember what pads.

    EBC seems to make good stuff though.

    I mostly want to do the tundra brake swap. Need new rims for it though.
