Yea, it takes some dinking around with at different distances from a wall.

It was hard for me to find a combo clear filter cover. I've always wanted to see what a full flood does on the LF's...

 

I know what is says. I wrote it. But there seems to be something you misunderstood if you felt you had to tell me again.

 

It read as in you where saying clear filters cut down more then the yellows.

But whatever. You should try those. Never got why you used the yellows.

 

So, must not been all that dark in the walmart parking lot right? They light those up pretty good at night don't they.

When I did this before, I tried to do it in as dark conditions as I could find. But that meant not being able to get as much as 100 ft away. So when I tried them on the trail, I was disappointed by the light spread.

 

Ah, I was trying to say the opposite. Its pretty obvious that ambers will cut down on the total output but I felt that the output really needs some diffusing. I'm with Marc, a flood filter would be interesting to have to compare.

Besides, the yellow light cuts through the dust better if your following. Also better with snow and rain and slick pavement surfaces.

This is the same reason I don't care much for kelvin temps higher than about 4500K. The light is too white and the higher the color temp the worse it is.

 

Try em without filters to see. Cause I find this interesting because my 240s seem to do great for exactly what your talking about.

 

I did it by the back wall were the truck docks are, not much light back there at the walmart near me. Any wall with a relatively flat run up to it is good with low light, obviously the less the better.

Are these pics with or without spacers? 15x8 4" backspace with 33x12.5s right?

Without spacers. And yes, 33x12.5r15 and 15x8 with 4" bs.

The video is 31x10.5r15 on stock 15x7 at 4.5" bs with 1.5" wheel spacers.

I rubbed the frame at full steering lock though. Thus the spacers went back on.

 

Hey Monte, do you think it would be a big risk to exceed the 30 amp rating on an individual circuit on one of the BlueSea fuse blocks? The block itself is rated at 100 amps total but the individual circuits are rated at only 30 amps.

I am thinking of adding an inverter to the end of the bed, near the kitchen. The inverter is fused at 40 amps.

 

How big on an inverter?

Id probably run a separate cable for it.
