    Well this is gonna work great! Found some extra slide nuts in the tops of the main rails.

    Slapped me in the rails of the rack

    Found some bolts in the bin of Toyota bolts haha just a mass collection of bolts from working on them for so long haha used em to hold down the led bar bracket.

    Slapped on my old blitzpro 21" bars. Gonna Work awesome!

    Yea thought of that. But then the cross bars that are curved for the roof wouldn't be in contact. Just not sure Id like it raised like that.

    I would find thick strips of UHMW or similar and contour them to fit the roof line.

    BTW, how many sweaters can you make with all that dog hair? :luvya:

    The problem with raising it is the cross bars won't contact the roof like they are supposed to do then.

    Why not cut the rack at the hump. Cross bars will lay flat on each appropriate sections (lower and hump area) then just buy some stand offs for the lower area so the bars/whatever you mount can be level across front to back??

    I'm generally a function over form kind of guy but I'm not a big fan of how those ends stick out either.

    Can you build some metal rails to attach at the bottom that will lift it up a little and form fit them to the cap so its a flush fit front and back?

    Well the bigger rack rails would work perfect for that I think. Just haven't totally tried it but it looks like it would work.

    And what do you mean ends sticking out?

    Sorry, all fucked up today. Quoted the wrong post. In the first pic, you can see it very clearly where the end of the rails don't sit flush in the rear. You can see its the same up front in the last pic as well.

    Probably get a lot of wind noise as well but you'd probably get that with the light bar regardless.

    Oh well that's just because the rear part of the cab is higher. It bumps up. That's what I've been talking about to try and get around.

    Gotcha. Back to the my other post, could you fabricate some custom perches that bolted to the feet of the rack for those rails to sit flush (and a bit higher). Kind of like an adapter that conforms these rails to your roof.

    Like this idea too. Probably easier as well.

    I must have made a really shitty explanation, but what you're saying is what I meant. :laughing:

    In all honesty, I'd just mount one on Igor and build another custom steel or aluminum setup for frank. Potentially use those nice rails from US Cargo Control.
