Yeah, that would be ideal and give us time to comfortably hit both trails. If you do that we'd probably want to hit Holy Cross on the Friday to avoid potential weekend traffic.

Oh, and as you see from those pictures James posted, I've always heard Cleveland Rock is best left to the buggies. So I'll enjoy watching as you try it. :D

Seeing it first hand, I would say it would be damn near impossible on IFS without 40's. The second pic yes, but that isn't really the obstacle, and is how you are supposed to come down, the first one is the "up" line.

So what you're saying is Monte's not man enough to try it? If he even gets to it. :stirthepot:

oh i didn't know thats what those photos where from. Nice! I wanna do it for sure then.

Hard to just get to it too huh? hmm..if i made it. id probably try it. But looks like it might be impossible on an IFS truck haha

    daayyyuuummmm!

Doubt Frank could do that. Worth a shot though. Probably end up like Brett on the last couple photos he posted i bet. Need a front locker.

Cool. Well i think i could do that. Google says about 7-8 hours. I get off at work at 4ish so..totally do able. Then id drive back on sunday. I like it! Sounds like a plan. Play the dates kinda loose?

I think id try it. But highly doubt i could make it up. Looks pretty gnarly haha

    Oh screw you guys! :luvya:

Yeah, we can play it by ear. Just give me a couple weeks notice so I can make sure to have that Friday free. Keep in mind Holy Cross probably won't be open until mid July or so depending on snow.

yea i figured it would be a late July trip/early August.

Sweet! We will have to wait to see how the snow pans out. Same story as Wyo really. But only on a few of the trails.

We (I have just included myself on this expedition) would all make it to Cleveland, one spot required winching 3/7 vehicles going up, and I had to get winched backwards when going down the trail , but to be fair I was rushing it as that was after Cat busted the shit out of her finger and we were trying to get out quickly to get to the hospital. Here is the full report from the last run with Mark, with a bunch of videos from Lauren.

Haha, Jace was bouncing off the rocks pretty good.

I wasn't then, made it all the way to Cleveland open, have a rear now after Moab claimed my rear last summer.

Yea didn't look like you where locked. But bad ass you made it! Open FTW :p I've barely used my locker. Be fun if it was.

Some dual battery setup questions if I may?

How many feet are the wire runs between the batteries and your solenoid/isolator on Frank? I know both of your batteries are under the hood but I can't recall where your solenoid/isolator is located.

IIRC, you have those wire runs fused or are they CB'd? How many amps is the protection rated at?

Does your isolator/solenoid allow for a self-jump without using jumper cables to connect the batteries together?

    hmmm...if i had to guess...maybe 5-8' of cable??? :notsure:

The solenoid is right by the second battery. I can't remember the fuse setup on it..but its stupid. Like 400 amps. Way too high, i just had it from before as it came with the kit.

Yes, i have the solenoid getting power off the starter battery to flip. Which doesn't make sense at first but my 2nd battery tends to die a lot more often. So it the 2nd battery is dead, i can't even flip the solenoid over to charge the 2nd bat. But as long as they are connected, you are "self jump starting" at that point. And i have done it several times, you watched me do it a few.
