I love how the ko2 airs down and can have a huge footprint. It just claws at rocks.

Did you slice a tire then?

 

KO2s are quickly becoming the next Duratrac with their lack of traction and blown sidewalls.

 

I'd say so, ha. Looked like a fun trip other than the mishaps.

 

Didn't have a traction issue this weekend. Let me know how those kooks do on ice this winter for traction...

 

I'll be the first to admit any MT is a horrific choice for snow and ice. I live in a much too snowy place to chance it, and have run two sets of wheels and tires for as long as I've owned the truck. That way I get the best of both worlds with no compromises like KO2s

Also, on my 2nd set of kooks, and they do much better in the snow than my old KM2s.

Edit: my KOs were garbage in packed snow and ice, but I understand the KO2s improved in that field.


There's round tires, and then there's BFGs.

 

I'll agree with the round part... mine have probably 3 lbs of weight on them to get them balanced lol.

And to be honest i almost got the kooks you have but wanted an AT. I wasnt about having two sets of tires.

Agreed. Just can't say they are round. They are only balanced, as Marc pointed out.

 

With enough weight you can balance a concrete oval. Doesnt mean it will ride down the road smoothly.

 

With my truck, I can't feel it any way.

 

Try this on your rig. Jack up one corner and spin it by hand and watch the tread surface fluctuate with no weight on it.

 

Try it on one that has been abused by airing down. Be more telling.

I guarantee you will find some that are out of round. This points out how ridiculous it is to imply some brands of tires are more round than others.

 

My pinion nut was staked and it still managed to back off and nuke my front gears some how.
