Does the 04410 run into 98. That's what im coming up with when I search it. But I would have to double check PN numbers with what I found to make sure and those guys with the parts are closed. There is a vin number that can be cross refferenced with toyota.

No. The 04410 goes from 06/1997-10/1997

Though it still comes up as a 97-98 one.

    Yep.

And i think im screwed even if i got the 04410 because it has the 98 plugs not the 96/97 ones. So unless i rewire my whole truck to different pins..not worth it..

Hopefully @kigmob can verify his ecu number and I'm happy to check my local yard. Didn't make it this week but will next.

Or have Toyota flash the ecu for you. But who knows how much that will cost. Good luck man hopefully everything works out.

I don't think that is an option really for 1st gen ECUs..

At this rate..i just wanna buy the MS3 Standalone..put together a turbo kit..leave the blower on there..

    Twin charge the bastard.

    Fuck it. haha

    Well..

This guy had what sounds like my issue: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/epic-ecu-question-please-read.330443/#post-9358421

However, he just PMed me and he swapped in the 89661-04310 ECU and it woke up his truck.

    Which is Frank's OEM ECU...

    :annoyed:

    this shit is stupid..

I think the best course of action is to rip the 7th injector kit out to see if a wire is crossed up somewhere. Even though i've checked it multiple times. Can't hurt and its free.

Ill check the wiring and pull the URD piggy back. If it doesn't improve..It'll be Igors.

    or i'll sell it. Idk.

That sucks, Monte. Frank would be so much more beastly than he already is with that SC.

Yeah I kinda wish I just had turboed him. I didn't need more low down power that a SC is know for really due to the gearing. I wanted more go up top..

But the cost drove me away..but now. pff..would have been better off..sheesh.

    Ha...

    Okay!

Ripped out the urd 7th injector controller. Put my original ECU in.

Bam. Runs good! Pulls hard to redline.

Though not as good as it should. I can feel the timing doing weird things. And it pings a bit.

So....wtf is going on with the urd unit is the question!

Bueno, now your issue is just fuel and timing as it should be haha. Is the URD unit remappable? And is there a possibility some wiring for it was not quite right?

I've check the wiring so many times haha I thought that is what was wrong. It's not.

Yes the urd unit is fully tunable.

Looks like I need to buy gauges and get the laptop out.

Need to find a base tune map though
