Thinking of getting an E blanket for the tent so my bro and i can do some winter camping. Our last trip in the hills was actually quite chilly. I have read this helps a lot but doesn't make it overly hot and is safe.

Not sure if ill run a 12v plug into the tent yet or if ill just run wires out of the tent to you 12v plug in the bed already.

you gonna be running a dual deep cycle battery or run the truck all night?

I would think investing in a -30 degree bag would be more comfortable but that may just be me.

It's pretty dumb to run a deep cycle battery unless you can keep it off the alternator. The whole point of a deep cycle is to use it till it dies, here and there little by little then charge it when you need it. A constant charge on a deep cycle will kill it.

    Btw, sweet ladder

eventually yes i will have a totally isolated aux battery. But i doubt it'll drain my red top..

Yes sir..hoping for one of those snazzy isolators that you can link them when needed.

    and thanks

Nice job man. I'll call Bobby next week.

I'm seeing more and more of them around. When we went out to surprise lake a couple of weekends ago. The was one on a Disco parked at the trailhead. It was a CVT even.

edit: I think I read that in the group buy we were in they sold something like 40 of them.

You are correct, but keeping a dual battery isolated from the alternator is an incredibly easy procedure to set up. I've been running my deep cycle for just over two years now with absolutely no problems. I went the simple route. I'm just using an 80amp isolator solenoid that I had from a previous stereo set up that is hooked to a manual switch on the dash. Therefore, the deep cycle only charges when I want it to.

if its auto charging then those usually sense when the aux battery is at around 10.7v then it switches over for a set amount of time like 15mins to let it charge.

This is what I want to mount in my rear, that way 3 wires control 10 relays and I can just run those three wires and a power wire. But $500?!?!?!
