Well my Truck has been collecting dust waiting for a new transmission, & I decided that I should be doing SOMETHING for my ride so I pulled the trigger on this tonight......;)

Besides might as well take advantage of the down time & do some simple ,straight forward MODS that I probably would put off if my truck was running.

& it keeps me interested, involved & still in the loop so to speak....

I'll put up some more pics after I get some dinner,

    I love this MOD Monte !!! :thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:

Did you end up capping the original corner light hole in the housing? If so, with what?

    Done!

The marker light hole? No, you leave the stock hole in it, you need it to mount the marker light.

There will be two holes, One for the stock smaller marker bulb. And then the new hole that you make for the larger blinker bulb.

Thanks! Great to hear, added to the list

:woot: yay for more people doing this! :goingcrazy:

Oh okay.. so you put back the marker light after relocating the blinker light, and have two bulbs in each of the corner housings?

    Just want to make sure.

It's a bit confusing in the 1st post because it looks like you bought new corner housings (that had a plug for the marker light hole) and then saw you working on your old housings.

Ohhh i see haha yea no those are new corner lights. Cause i first did this to my OEM ones but broke one so i ordered some clear corners. The white tab over the marker bulb hole is just from shipping to try and keep dirt out of there.

But yes, you will have both holes and bulbs in the same housing. i will try and clarify that in the OP. Thanks!

Does the stock amber bulb fit in the housing? My bulbs are over an inch long. Working on this mod now while the wife is out shopping!!

Would someone with a 2001-2004 style post up your pics. I have cut the hole, and it fits in, but the bulbs are making contact with the backside of the lense.

Ok, so my free mod went to a $25 mod. But, my turn signals have been moved!!!

Those of you with 2000- on trucks, I would be very careful with this mod. I couldn't make it work with my stock bulbs. I'm not very mechanically minded though...

I'll take some pictures when I change my bumper in the upcoming weeks.

I didn't take any during the mod and I have to take off the brush guard to get to the corner markers :(

I actually ended up buying new bulbs, that didn't fit. O'riellys wouldn't let me return them, and then picked up some new leads for smaller size bulbs and new bulbs. I then spliced those into the wiring and installed those.

Word of caution!!! If you make the hole too big, its a PIA making it smaller again!!!

Modded mine and the holes were a nightmare to drill out right so I made it work and sealed with a little sealant, Then I added 2 LED non hyperlink that were fabbed on a bracket each side for a total of 2 per side that light up.

Yea i found it easier to actually use files and not do a bit over 3/4'' actually. More control...way more time consuming tho.

Elmo, do your LEDS blink super fast? My smaller sized bulbs today have decided to use warp speed.
