No if your using stock housings only the bulb would get retro fitted. The ballasts id mount right next to them on the inside of the bumper somewhere. Id also try and find some clear lenses if that's possible

I got raptor ballasts instead of slims. Idk why really as they are huge. Seem heartier I guess.

And im at work on my phone but when I get to a computer ill be sure to check into what bulb type would fit best

So I did this mod..seemed to work great until I went through the touchless car wash and my corners fogged up. So today I made some foam gaskets about a 1/4 inch thick and seemed to seal them up great. I get some pics up when I get a chance.

Check out these housings! Bad ass! http://www.autolightsbulbs.com/1995-1997-Toyota-Tacoma-Turn-Signal-Light-Assembly/K1100234.aspx

Alas..im not totally sure what bulb would work best. H3 i can see working quite well.

Ill tell ya what, i have two extra bulbs that are H3s..i will try and figure out a way to mount them as that seems to be the biggest issue i can see with just slapping in some HIDs. Ill get back to you on that..

Ahh must not have had it cut supper tight. That is VERY important. Mine are almost hard to put in and out as they are so tight. Glad you got it to work tho.

Also to those interested...check out these LEDs that are suppose to swap in! might have to snag some..

So I did the mod on my '02 and ran into the same issue a couple of others have posted with the bulb contacting the wall of the housing (so much so that before i realized it was, it cracked one of my bulbs :( ). Still working on fixing it... I dont really want to go the route of splicing in anything so... we'll see and I'll post up what I come up with =]

*oh and I think my issue is that I did not cut the hole far enough down so that it goes in too horizontally causing the contact.

Hey for you 01-04 guys, Check out this. Just saw it yesterday. Its a bit more involved and you have to do some cutting and some epoxy or siliconing..but seems like it'd work maybe better for you all since you have smaller lights.

Yea i realized that after..but i bet you could get some housing just like that. And ill get back to you ASAP

And yea what he did is cut off the mount that is on the actual blinker light and attached it to the corner light with a hole in it. Not a bad idea if you dont need the blinker lights really.

Hey blackdawg, I was going to get a set of clear corners for 1998 Tacoma and I was wondering if I shipped them to you if you could cut the holes in them like you did in yours for the blinkers to just turn and lock into place on the corner lights
