Stock wheels and suspension. Random "utilitarian" mods featured on this great forum.
I had a '23 Frontier as a rental and compared to the 3g, transmission was light-years better than the 6sp sloshbox. Haven't driven a 4g but it's probably way better too. My problem with the Frontier was overall it just felt cheaper. More rattles, plastic, cabin noise... Maybe because it was a rental. Low miles though.

Our other ride is a '24 Pathfinder RC and we love it. Drives and handles great; lots of room. So Nissan is definitely trying to stay in the car game. I'd definitely consider the Frontier if I needed to replace my Taco where as before, it wasn't even on my list to check.

That front end is growing like Pinocchio's nose. Does that mean Nissan will release a DCLB with a V8? :D

I'm seriously considering a 2024 Frontier. Still has a V6. No turbo. Maybe $40K on the road. New Tacoma will cost 50K.

It’s not a terrible looking truck but if I replace my taco it will be with a Ranger Raptor.

I have had at least two of my customers go to Nissan due to price and now up to two others switch Chevy & GMC respectively. These were due to mainly price, options, style etc... all were Toyota owners for years. The two Toyota guys had pre-2021 Tundra's and will had zero interest in the new gen and the new Tacoma was not worth the prices when they were shopping. Currently, at least there seems to be now deals to be had

I had a 2023 and the power steering in the Frontier is not that bad at all. My issue was a whistling noise coming from the dash which ended up being a portion of the windshield seal being folded up. Also the camera was trash. I also did not like the five foot bed. With the improvements and the six foot bed on the Pro4X it is a solid option.

I will never get a Ford with a turbo. Buddy of mine has a Bronco, I don't know what edition, has 6000 miles and the turbo just went out.

I would never buy a Tacoma TRD Pro, I read a post about a guy's transmission going out at 342 miles and I know that all Tacoma's will be garbage because of this one example...

I think the pro4x with the 6 foot bed would be my choice as well. So you had a 2023 Frontier? Did you get rid of it because of the 5 foot bed?

With Titan being gone they can focus more on the Frontier. The long bed option is available in more trims now too which is neat.

Much less expensive, no turbo or hybrid with a pretty reliable v6 and transmission, increase in towing and now available in the Pro with a 6' bed? It would get much more than just a passing look from me if I were in the market right now.

Yeah the reason I didn't get a frontier was because I couldn't get a 6 foot bed in the off-road trim. Well and it's got way worse resale. I guess they're listening.

and they will let you do a special order not the "take it or leave it, poors" approach of Toyota

Well I understand the risk of a turbo. My work truck was an ecoboost and I beat the life out of it for 6 years. It was a good truck and nowadays everyone is using a turbo so at 6k it’s still under warranty. Unless I can get a v8 taco I ain’t buying the turbo 4.

I had a 2022 king cab Pro-4X. There were some things I didn't like about the truck, but the drive train was incredible. It was the smoothest transmission I've ever driven.

I never had an issue at all with the steering. Maybe its because I haven't driven very many newer rigs.

Why is it Nissan can't design the hood so it looks like it is shut properly? The new design looks like it is getting ready to fly up.
