From 2WD to 4WD. Sounds kinda expensive, don't you think it be better to start with a 4x4..... but it has been done before

My taco will pay off next year & I plan to buy my wife a new 4-runner so I will be keeping my taco long enough to pay that off, then get the next gen. taco.

none except for crappy hub caps and floor mats.
I've had mine almost 14 years. Seeing as how its the totally stripped down, small 2WD model, at this point with 223,000 miles its almost not worth selling. I'd get like what?- $2,500 for it? I'd almost just rather keep it and use it to haul garbage and stuff. Besides- when you have a vehicle that long, you get attached to them. I practically grew up with mine. Went through college with it, met my wife, got a number of jobs, etc etc.

Its had too many stories. Like running through a flooded street with the water over the hood, a road trip across the desert to Vegas at 110MPH, probably the 10 or so girlfriends I had in it before I met my wife, and going across the Sierras in a blizzard.

I'm trying really hard to keep the mod bug in check and put extra money to pay it off. After its paid off and I enjoy not having payments for awhile, I will look into a decent used car along the lines of a WRX and turn the taco into a trail monster.

I plan on keeping this truck for a long time. I'd like to mod it out and use it for trails etc more once I'm done paying it off, then possibly handing it down to my step son or daughter and get a new Taco later down the road.
