Ain’t nothin worse than a stripped Gasshole...

But really, I had one that would not come out(used door I got for testing) I took a angle grinder and cut a fat slot in it, then took a large flat head screwdriver on an impact and got it out. I think it’s worse for older 2nd gens that have been sitting for a while. Dirt/rust/corrosion/etc

Missed this somehow, order placed for the sb version.

I'll use a small impact to remove the screw, we'll see, and get back.

With my LB Gasshole already on its way :broccoli:, and reading the horror stories above about removing the screw, I figured I'd better see if I could remove the screw on my '15. It being a '15, I was (over?) confident that I could, but I was surprised how much force it required. There was some light rust on the screw where the threads met up with those on the door. 'Suggest applying some Liquid Wrench or PB Blaster first, then (at least) using a #3 Phillips-head screwdriver - don't try using a #2.

Now that I've gotten past the tough part, I can't wait for my Gasshole to arrive in the mail!

Well, I’m out of ideas. I’ve used lots of anti-seize and tried to work on my screw for a few hours with no luck. I may have a gasshole for sale soon :(

Good advice. I have a 2014. Took some WD40 and a big screwdriver to break it loose.

I better start soaking mine with PB Blaster before the cap holder arrives.

Have you tried a screw extractor drill bit?

    https://www.lowes.ca/tools/power-tool-accessories/drill-bits/screw-extractors/

It's a one-way trip with the screw though as you essentially destroy the head. Won't be able to use the screw again but hopefully you could find a replacement.
