So the can I got is a little light. Can’t win for losing I guess haha.
Might hit it with the can I got from Automotive Touchup. Did this little piece of my shifter to compare to my professionally sprayed dash.

Not to be a gasshole, but what is the point of your post? You don’t want it, don’t buy it. Trying to understand why anyone else but you makes decisions the way they do is an exercise in futility.

Also, most vehicles have gas cap holders, at least in my experience.

 

i'm not trying to be a pain in the gass, i'm just trying to figure out if the gas camp has residues which are corrosive to the paint, etc...??

 

Especially on this site.... So many things that I think are cool that no one else does (ahem, my wife), or vice versa.

 

I don’t like my gas cap banging into my fender any more than, say, a shopping cart at low speed. Again, that’s my personal feeling. You are free, as an American, not to care about your gas cap banging against your fender. Or mine.

Also, the Meso products are cool. I like cool stuff. This dude designs some really slick stuff and then manufactures it himself. I think when people do things like that the world becomes a better place.

Yea, your way is free, but my small contribution of 20 dollars helps support a creative guy. I would have spent that money on something I really didn't need anyway. I have two products from MESO customs right now and both are quality products, so I don't mind supporting him. Before you say, well, you don't need the gasshole, yea you are right, I don't need it, but I think it is a good product and look at how many other mods are happening around here that have no function at all besides looks. The way you have your cap in that pic, what if a gust of wind comes through and your cap falls and hits your truck? It may not hurt it, but I myself would rather not take that chance if it can be avoided.
