they still offer it, but you have to call to order. on the website it only shows as an add-on for their bumpers.

So i recently did the reflectix window coverings and have found it's a pain in the ass to see when backing up (never realized I looked out those windows so much). Do you keep yours up all the time or just while out exploring?

I think it's something you have to get used too. my shell has solid sides, and it was weird at first but now I'm used to using my side mirrors more than looking behind me

Thanks for the feedback. Yeah I guess I'll just get used to it using my mirrors more!

I also have little stick on spot mirrors on the outside bottom edge of my mirrors, they do wonders for filling in your blind spot

Got some little stuff done this weekend on the truck.
    • Got an alignment. Toe was out on both sides. Might have been when I caught a little air in the Mojave. :notsure: All fixed up now! Camber and caster were still in spec. Yay Cam tab gussets do their job. :)
    • Retorqued u-bolts, shackle bolts, leaf spring bolts.
    • Washed the truck, was filthy from Mojave desert.
    • Added a quick release pin for gate.
    • Added grip tape on the bumper, for when I load on the roof.
    • Hung the basket on the gate. (my new favorite mod!) :)
Test fit 20 lb. bottle of propane. I think it weighed 18 KG or 39 lbs.

About 7 Gal. water, 28 KG or 61 lbs.

Test fit the family camp stove, and bag of recovery gear.

My oldest kid test fit herself in the basket.

This is good. In the mean time, while my backup camera is blocked, she can radio to me what's happening in the rear. She is a very good radio operator. We may or may not have gone around the block a few times. The neighbors may or may not have cheered when they saw her. :notsure: And her sister may or may not have been given a ride or two. :anonymous:

1-1/2" Quick Release Pin, 5/16" diameter with wire rope and ferrule stops. Works great.

Awesome! Looks like La Jolla? We were camped at the beach about an hour North at Doheney. It was perfect weather for that. It was like summer except the water was a bit nippley! :) Well done on the truck. Good Times

    Good movie memories. thanks!

Thanks. yes LA Jolla. We visited the Birch Aquarium, then hit the cove, and beach area. Great way to beat the inland heat. :)

After more field testing, I decided to try another air chuck with my modified ARB tire infiltrator.

Coilhose Pneumatics CH15A Open Lock-On Chuck, 1/4-Inch FPT, pictured on the left.

I returned the one on the right as I was not happy with it.

The Coilhose one works great, it has two pieces of metal which grip the valve stem making a really solid connection. The clip on one on the right, like the original ARB, only had one, and didn't work as well as I initially thought.

I like the Open chuck vs. the closed chuck, because I can use the open version to blow dust off my truck after finishing a trail in the desert.

    Final modified product.

    Original post updated.

Thanks @Sandman614 for suggesting the Coilhose variant.
