I found a good deal and got a pair I found a good deal and got a pair of Icon 2.0 RR rears. I'm just doing my due dilligence researching and asking questions so when my 5100 and Eibach coils in the front need to be replaced I'll know what's going to work best for me. Here in Va our terrain is a bit different also

Please remember that ride height is a function of the springs, not the shocks. All the shocks really do is dampen springs by converting kinetic energy into heat.

    Thank you so much! :)

Thanks. I'm gonna use a 2x4 with floor jack to support the tank, I think.

Yeah, I'm hard pressed to think of a harsher situation than a rough wash-boarded road. The repeated violence can extract a heavy toll. I recall @ETAV8R smoking and melting the plastic shroud on his shocks. I want to say it was in DV.

About three years ago I talked to Bilstein engineering, and they said for the B110, I should chill the F out when when they get to +200° some degrees. I should have wrote down the exact figure, but I can't remember. It was 2-hundred something.

In all my travels, the only time I recall experiencing severe shock fade was, when I decided to exit Death Valley by traversing the Panamint Mountain range late in the day, while racing daylight. Probably one of the most memorable adventures for the whole family. My kids laughing their asses off, at all the shit everywhere from the stupid Burros in Butte Valley is something I'll never forget. Unrestrained hysterical laughing.

All this talk about DV... It calls me... Gotta break free. LOL

Yep. Traveling rough ass roads routinely usually translates to accelerated maintenance schedules. :)

Yeah I know that, meant to put Eibachs have sagged not the shocks now that I go back and read what I typed.

I'm getting the truck setup for exhaust reroute soon.

I showed the prospective shop the most excellent photos from Ken's @DVexile build Exhaust Crossover Reroute

Pics make it 1000x easier to explain what I want.

Yes melted shrouds from too much washboard fun. I don't know what road specifically but it was in DV to be sure.

    I'll just leave this here...

    Does this help?
This pic reminds me of some of your solo trip pics with you and the red headlamp and the little buddy heater going.

Awesome pic. I like preserving night vision and night photos are fun.

Yes it helps. It helps me want to throw paper, tumble bookshelves, upturn my desk, and walk out of this mofo like King Kong on a rampage mission to DV. :D

So jealous / envious. :D Glad to hear it too. I realize that I have to calendar my next outing, at whatever the cost. :)

Thank you for this and the mono tube vs. twin tube write up you did a few years ago. Very educational. Based on the info you provided, I'll be going with the 6112 setup.

Took the truck for a spin on Sunday. It's been a year since the last oil change, which caused me to calculate mileage. The truck has traveled 2,541 miles in last 12 months. Gee, I'm on track for a 5K oil change every two years. :cookiemonster:

    I need more time.:deadhorse:

I have to pickup belly armor from shop, ordered during last year November sale. :tumbleweed:

Have to get exhaust reroute done.

My calendar is booked solid so I'll have to work at night in my driveway and install all the skids if I ever want to get stuff done.

Nahh... Thinking of this just makes me want to go take a nap. lol
