One thing I like is where my oil catch can is located. :)

I don't even have to open the hood. The catch can is working great after the last major rehab I did to it. My dumb ass didn't wear gloves this time when I opened it and got a dab on my skin. The small amount of oil is absorbed into the skin so I smell like god-forsaken roasted motor oil for 4+ hours until my kidneys filter it.

But the can is clear, and ready to go. :bikewheelie2:

    Hi Crom!
Hope you are doing well, post-pandemic (whenever that happens)!
Your magnificent transmission fluid flush of August 2016 is still making my truck shift as smooth as a kitten purrs.
Following my many 2016-2018 Baja traveling miles, and retiring from my irrigation work, my truck gets very little driving the past couple years. I may not need another transmission fluid change... So, I thank you for doing it so well when you did! I know it was a favor and not your side business to help older Tacoma 4x4 drivers, like me!
My Baja missions book has been reprinted many times as people like it and keep buying it, lol! I co-authored another one this year that covers the missions here in 'Alta' California, too! www.oldmissions.com
Anyway, hope life treats you well... I am doing okay, so far... Just bored that we can't go to Baja for fun, just yet!

What up David K? :) Good to hear from you. I still would like to go to Baja. I may have to wait until my kids are out of the house. I dunno.

I'm glad your truck is still going strong. :benchpress: Long live the 2nd Gens! :burnrubber: :D I am glad we were able to connect for the maintenace on your truck. It's great you did more authoring--very cool. Summer is coming to a close, kids are going back to school (remotely). My wife and I are pretty focused on our careers. It's amazing how fast time passes now. The older I get the faster it goes. :ballchain: And yeah, there are times the monotony shifts into boredom. Work-from-Home, is a pain with a full house. We're otherwise doing well.

    :hungry:

Oh boy, you also have discovered the relativity of time. The more time that has passed, the faster it passes. Enjoy all you can, when you can.
My two kids are in their 30s and I am reliving the memories of my daughter when she was small through her daughter (my granddaughter... who turns 10 next week). The cycle of life!
When you are ready for a Baja trip... I am here to help!
My new road guide was to have been published this past spring/ summer but Covid dashed that... so it will wait... The cover might look like this (featuring the truck you helped run great):
