I just can't process it, in my mind......because of how it swivels, how can it have sufficent strength, to withstand significant force, from a pull.

It just doesn't make sense, to me....that's why I don't have one

i would not. Just use the hitch pin and attach the strap to it. Other thing is take the ball off a hitch a bad t a shackle. I've got 12 or so Hitches and I'll just bring you one to Jambo

Nope, regular hitches I've found from trucks I've sold

Lol, no. We pretty much phased those out at this point.

 

Did you phase them out?

 

I know Hertz still uses the military hitch on pretty much all their light towers and generators.

Even if it's the Avid bolt-on sliders........I mean, because of where it will spend alot if its time, i.e parkinglots and surrounded by other cars.
