Yea..it's gonna be a long way home.

I will say that while talking to the owner of Beartrax (Joe...nice guy, we talked for about 30 minutes at the air up station)...he mentioned the first 25 mile drive is critical, the next 50 is also critical. The rest after that are less important, but those first 75 - 100 miles have to be done right, and afterwards you'll likely be good. Still never hurts to follow the procedure exactly.

Yea, you are supposed to drive like the first 25 miles, then stop and let it cool for like 20 minutes then do 50 miles and repeat the process, and keep repeating that process, all while not going over like 50-60mph or so.

    The ECGS Guidelines
    • On initial run, drive lightly for 15 to 20 minutes then stop to allow differential to cool completely for 20 to 25 minutes.
    • Avoid towing and heavy acceleration, as well as vary speeds every 5 to 10 minutes while driving on highways.
    • Drive conservatively and do not drive more than 50 miles at a time without allowing a cool cycle during the first 500 miles following installation.

My break-in for gears was to just drive around the city and to and from work by adding in some extra distance to my commute, worked well and did not have issues for me.

Wonder if Warren is going to follow that or just drive all the way back to PA...

Probs easier and cheaper to just paint the chrome one.

Just a friendly update. I am alive . Some personal things plus work have gotten in the way of keeping up on here and unfortunately the Jambo this year also. I was really bummed about it. Hope you all had a great time. With that said, I'm back to the :mudding:mentality and have been really looking at swing out tire carrier bumpers. Any suggestions? I like Pelfreybilt's and CBI so far..

Both great bumpers. I will be going with hi clearance Pelfrey because I have one of their fronts and I like the rear that they make, CBI makes a good one as well, just really depends on what all you want on it and so forth.

Really all comes down to what kind of accessories you want on it and who offers what and at what prices.

Good to have you back Peyton! Hope things are good now. I’m a big fan off SOS and brute force fabs rear swing out. Eddy at SOS usually runs some good sales a couple of times a year

A few audio upgrades, tinted windows, remote start because it f'n hot in Texas! 6in Fabtech DB lift, 17x9 Fuel Trophy wheels, 315/70/17 Duratracs,BAMF 80in sliders w/kickout, Prinsu cab rack w/30in Heretic light bar, custom bedside decals, custom hi-lift jack brackets, US Offroad front bumper w/winch, bed rack with RTT, CB, Short wave base station, Ultra gauge, color matched grille surround, an ungodly amount of recover gear, ARB fridge, hood struts, RotoPax, traction pads.
I did the first half of the break in procedure on the way home. About 300 miles took roughly 10 hours. Stopped by and got a laser temperature gun and kept close eye on the temps before and after each stop.
I have a CBI gift certificate I could sell...
