i bought replacement fog housings, wiring amd a "stock" fog switch for less than $35........cheaper than most stock switches, by their own.

 

Any one had to change their carriage bearing I'm bout to have to wandering how hard it is

I heard tranny so I figured I'd pop in.

 

I think the real name is carriage barring I know on mine it has a double driveshaft and it holds it in place so it don't vibrate mine is bad it will make a popping sound in the lower gears when taking off

 

I think that popping sound might be a u-joint in the driveshaft. The u-joints and carrier bearing are not hard to replace. For removing the the u-joint you can use the large press that comes with the ball joints kits you rent at auto stores. For the carrier bearing you can rent a bearing puller. It's a little bit trick to get on and it helps if you have second person holding the puller in place. Last summer I replace the carrier bearing and all 3 u-joints in just s few hours. I just watched a lot of YouTube videos to figure out what to do. Also did it with just hand tools. If you have an impact it will be a lot easier.

 

What phill said. Then again some shop wouldn't charge that much to change them out. Think it's a 75 dollar job.
