Ive done it and easiest method is do not cut just get a 10 pound sledge and swing at it. After that paint over it. Worked with a dozen or so hits per side

What's the purpose of the pinch weld mod?

not to slice up your tires, stock size and even one size up youre ok but when you go to 33's or bigger you're probably going to start rubbing especially when youre turning and stuffing your suspension

OH, I see. It's where the pinch weld ends inside the wheel well. Would it be better to grind it smooth and lightly weld up the seam? I'm not going to worry about this because I won't hit it but eventually I might need to.

You could do that but the risk doesnt out weigh the reward, a few guys have caught their truck on fire when welding close to the fire wall and lower on the cab, theres some insulation and a few wire harness's that dont like the heat from welding to much ;)

Sliders just came in, but no instructions or Hardware. Emailed the guy at RCI, I'm sure it was just an oversight and they will fix. Now I have to wait for it to stop raining so I can paint em up.

damn that blows. How was the packaging? I know mine was pretty beat up and I had to check it when they came in to make sure everything was there. Could have been lost in shipment.

Same here. Still need to do the drill in frame for the front portion though. But still strong as hell.

I guess he and his ladyfriend could test them? I checked the scale of tensile strength and here's what I found.

(When weight applied in a downward vector on installed sliders, in descending order of strength).

    1. A sack of partially opened potato chips.
    2. A bag of concrete.
    3. A fat person.
    4. A group of volunteer firefighters.
    5. AF
    6. One Jeep Owner.
    7. The internet.

    So honestly, it's pretty solid.
