    All,

I'm new to the Tacoma world. Just bought a 2013 Tacoma TSS Prerunner V6 SR5.

Looking for breakdown and clear understanding of this truck. A breakdown as to what it offers me. I personally am enjoying this beast so far.

    TSS?
    Prerunner?
    SR5?

What does each of these offer me? Good, the Bad and ugly!

    Welcome!

Sounds like you found a Tacoma with a lot of bells and whistles.

TSS: is a package they added
Prerunner = 2wd but is taller like the 4x4

    Matt,

Thanks so much for replying. All in All, I’m really into this truck. I read-up on a few questions I had on forums such as this one, but read so many different comments which do get confusing.

In reading up on the TSS package it seems to be nothing more than a couple of stickers and floor mats. The floor mats are nice, but have been replaced with weathertechs. I can live with or without the stickers, but for now will stay on the truck. Does the TSS package offer anything else other than a higher price tag and the two items above is my real question?

The Prerunner is setup like the 4WD, but only a 2WD. I am not clear on what this package includes other than being higher off the ground and mud guards. Is the suspension equal to the 4WD or not, traction etc? And what else does it offer? Because of no hardcore off-roading the 4WD wasn’t a necessary for me. However, pulling a small camping or boat was so the Prerunner V6 fit what I was looking for. I do like going off-grid from time to time.

The SR5 package seems to carry most of the bells and whistles.

    Regards.

The TSS may also include upgraded rims. Post a pic of your truck when you get a chance.

The prerunner package would also include upgraded bilstein shocks.
