The Great 2021 Stimulus 2.0 Investment Contest

START DATE JANUARY 19TH. END DATE APRIL 18TH

So looks like our stimmy checks should be coming out in the next couple weeks. Lets have a friendly contest to see who makes the most $ in a fixed period of time. Jan 15 - April 18th. Gives times for options to clear.

Considerations for rules and terms of play now being considered.

The rules so far:
Must deposit $600 on or before Jan 15th and post proof. Trading begins Monday the 18th -- Trading begins Tuesday the 19th cause there's a holiday I was unaware of. Trading ends April 18th to give time for options to clear.
You can sell and re-allocate, but you must only use profits generated from your original $600.
No crypto currencies. Not every state can trade crypto easily.
Common stocks, penny stocks, dividend paying stocks, and options trading are all allowed.
No margin buy-in. Has to be a fresh cash deposit.
Contest starts Jan 19th regardless of stimulus checks.

Honor system - don't cheat

Important note about day trades: You get 3 freebies in a 5 day period (buying and selling a security in the same day) if you have less than $25k in your brokerage account. If you are relatively new to trading, do not buy and sell securities on a daily basis.

In the EU it is. Stock contests are usually won by speculative bets. So go with a Chinese stock with net or blockchain in its name.
