Yes I cut the hoop off. That black box has to do with ventilation/air pressure in the cab. I stuffed some foam in there. If you dont, the cab will be very noisy. Louder than normal

Are you going to be putting sound deadening on the back?

Yes it should be here Monday. Local stores don't stock it. Just getting it ready and seeing what goes n what can stay.

What did you use for edging on your fenders after cutting for your high clearance?

    Everything TW members recommend
    I kept mine bare Turin.

My theory was that the edging would retain moisture and increase the possibility of rusting at the edge, even tho I did my best to paint the raw/cut edges. The edges still look good after two winters. :fingerscrossed:

trim like that is a huge reason older hondas rust at the top of the rear fender well. ymmv

Fill it with clear silicone then install it. I like the look of the fender with and without the trim though. I did use it on mine.

Metal place had the wrong inventory of 14ga square tubing, so they upgraded me to 11ga for free!

14 is about as good as I get now. I was getting 12 before the regear.

You guys have a 21 gallon tank I think right? That would be closer to 9 mpg  are you regeared? assuming the mileage difference has been calculated with bigger tires that is

MPGs aside that's one badass truck you have :D I'm getting about 14mpg on my supercharged 04 but I'm still on 32s
