    as an Italian, I can concur, SOME of the best italian food comes out of Providence. New world italian, hands down out of Providence or Boston, but traditional italian sometimes it's better. Not always.

    PS the Anthony Bourdain (Parts unknown?) about italian food in Manhattan (Manhattan?) and how it has pickles is actually really cool to watch, a really cool perspective.

    Some of the best bbq I’ve had was in Wakita Oklahoma. It was in a barn with a bunch a hunters, we had ribs and brisket and everything was fall off the bone and melt in your mouth tender. Second best was Trenton Texas.

    Okay I'm in.

    Now, I am a fan of TX style, sure. However, I can't say that, as a WHOLE, TX wins. I won't throw that card.

    I can say the best BBQ I've had - Browns BBQ in Austin. Little trailer on the side of Lamar outside of a sports bar. :drool: KC might beat TX as a region, but nothing has beaten Brown's, at all.

    I will NOT defend New England in the BBQ wars of 2023.

    I am a Mainer that does not like lobster rolls. That said, we have two types within. CT does theirs hot and in butter, ME is cold and in mayo (LIGHTLY coated, not a heaping amount).

    Both kinds are nasty to me. Gross ass sea cockroaches.

    Okay, so, I need to teach you that NYC and Philly are not in New England.
