The Green Truck... 5lug to 6lug conversion

Not a bad idea. I painted the frame again back in June with roll on rustoleum satin black. I'm going to get new leafs soon then ill do the frame paint and get the truck repainted.

What's the black woolwax for then?

 

the rear axle area, leaf springs,etc which you are getting some new ones
unless that is all just dirt under there?
on mine there was more than just dirt, and a lot of crevices i got bad aches while trying to clean off well enough to paint
so i sprayed some black WW on it everywhere and was impressed with the look from a distance
I'm not sure yet how it will hold up to the water and snow roadspray that gets kicked up back there, I tried the fancy FF last year but it all became bone dry much too quickly

 

Just for fun rebuilding a set of SAW 2.0s for spares for the truck.
Defently going to have to replace the coils.
Replaced the lower special bearings, all seals, oil and cleaned up the housings.

 

i'm going to start, and drive to the store in a little bit. went out to wash a weeks worth of ash off the windshield. '98 sr5 4x4 2.7l, 119495 miles, bought it new. keep thinking i need to do some re-build, but it keeps rolling as stock. over the years i've had many notes left on windshield: "call me i'll buy it" no sell.

 

Man I love getting the notes like that. This summer I had about 4 people a month ask me if I wanted to sell it. Thanks but No Thanks..

 

Found a flowmaster with down pipe in my parts pile so decided to us it so the exhaust is blowing on the rear shocks. May do some moving and adjustments in the future. Was surprised how much I like the sound.

Picked up a set of sliders for cheep today. Just need the snow to melt before I can do anything with them.

Blown King this winter is kinda suprising. Didn't do any offloading this winter. Going to rethink my rear setup. Looking at going with the archive garage setup.
