Flashbang actually does have a decent flavor. The burn is an immediate to a 5 sec delay. It grows for about a minute and then levels off, but the comedown starts after about 6-7 minutes and lingers for about 15-20 minutes. It obviously should only be used drop by drop to be diluted but it is not the 5.9 mil Scoville power "police grade pepper spray" but painful none the less.

Actually does taste better then "Da Bomb" if you can believe that and that is only 130k Scoville's. I have that as well. That stuff honestly is just plain mean. Very chemical tasting

I agree .....that is only my hottest stuff. My 2am I would never open because it is more of a collectors piece. My Flash Bang is my chili additive. My "Go-To's" are:
Moruga Masala for chicken and to mix in Salsa's (625k Scoville)
    16614670020841892681692562432198.jpg

And this is my "Absolute Go-To" for wings......I go through at least a bottle a month when I am making batches of wings....if anyone hasn't tried it.....I implore you to. It is AWESOME!!!
Wing Master - Death by Wings sauce.

I tried Da Bomb once. A friend of mine found out that I was into hot sauce AND that I had not seen Hot Ones. I should have known something was up when he wanted to do a reaction video. He gave me a bottle even though I had no plans to eat it or put someone else through that horrific experience. Fast forward a few weeks. My father in law finds it and even though I told him not to eat it because it's terrible and stupid hot, he put it all over a slice of pizza. Only one bite was taken from that slice before it went in the trash. Even my wife said 'I told you so' on that one.

That stuff is vile. It has no redeeming qualities.

Absolutely. I too bought mine before Hot Ones came out. I grabbed it at a New England yearly fair and asked the vendor if they had anything that was challenging but tasty. He sold me Da Bomb. Obviously he was right in one aspect, but very far off on the taste aspect. It really is one of the only sauces that I have ever bought.....the only one, that is so chemical tasting, I suspect that the makers wanted to mimic Battery acid. Even the heat from heat did not even produce an adrenaline rush for me....just pain. I guess there is a reason why Hot Ones never changed it from the beginning. It quite literally kills everything in your mouth so the last 2 sauces, no matter what they are, don't effect the person because Da Bomb is still fucking with whatever senses you have left.

I need to make my own, going to try this second attempt. I might have to cut it with some stuff as its got carolina reaper in it. Not really a fan of extreme heat and no flavor so hopefully i can make it work.

I used these in the brine

Serrano's. It and the flowers are plant doners grown in pots from last year. Got a couple more peppers going on for some homemade hot sauces later this year. All grown in pots.

Normally steep in white vinegar, garlic and a little salt and sugar. Lately I been adding shallots and cilantro. Salsa style I guess? This photo is last year when I had (L)jalapeno, serrano, thai and habanero peppers.

It actually had good flavor! Just don’t swallow it whole without some throat exercising first!
