    Well who else is there?

I have always had trouble falling asleep but it seems after I quit smoking and started taking a little better care of myself now I can't sleep for crap. I'm usually finally going down around 4:30 5 am up at 8:30-9 am

I get the same way sometimes, I watch "how it's made on tv or you tube to fall asleep. It used to be the first few episodes of Futurama whe. I was in college, it works to get a trigger like that for sleep. Or do what I do and work till.... about 10 minutes ago.

I had to stop watching the DIY channel because I would think it was a great idea to go try and replicate something they did. At 3 in the morning.

I used to sleep great back when I was drinking a fifth of vodka every night. Now that I have the baby and don't drink, I don't sleep a whole lot anymore. I feel your pain...

I usually find episodes of tv shows I like on Youtube and play it on my phone. So I can just face it down and listen to it without light bothering me. Takes awhile though

    this..

and also do some thinking... working out your brain can drain you more than working out your body.

Ive been a night owl for decades, but last week at work was so physically and mentally draining instead of going to a party and drinking till 3am tonight I walked in my door, ate dinner, passed out on couch at 8pm EST. Now I have been up since 4am... and thinking of going into work to get some shit done so next weeks load is a lightened.

I've always been a night person. I typically pick the swing shift or graveyard shift for that reason. I find myself watching random youtube videos until about 4am before getting tired. Favorite things to watch are car videos, gun videos, or anything funny.

I loved night shift when I was younger. Shift differential was great Plus you spend less money or at least I did. Was also cool because my friends were bartenders so we would all get off around 6am. Also never had to take time off work for anything like Dr appointments and no traffic on the roads or in stores.

Worst case scenario.... I use benadryl. I also use a fan sitting next to the bed and try to concentrate on the drone of the blades. Sometimes I just can't sleep and that makes for a miserable night.

I don't recommend prescriptions if you can keep from it.

    Yup same here.

I get the worst sleep at the Fire Station. The alarm is directly above my bed. I lay down and know at any time that alarm can / will go off. That sucks.

I know that feeling. Sucks, knowing it could go off and hearing radio traffic thinking I'm up next for a call in their territory.

    X2. Not a good sleep.

    Sleep in a o2 tent?

It's funny you bring that up. When my daughter was little I would do the same thing. I swear I could hear her crying and nothing. I would get up at all hours of the night just to check on her.

I use to fall asleep around 3, but thanks to a compilation of the sounds of helicopters and gunfire that my ex made (lovingly titled "fucked up life") and sent me, I can usually fall asleep around 12-1. It is actually very relaxing to me. Though when my neighbors shoot their shotgun, pistols, fireworks in the air, I wake up and takes me a little while to fall back to sleep.
I don't drink anymore, but a bit of whiskey helped too.

BUCKLE UP! It makes it harder for Aliens to pull you out of your Truck.
Make sure your bedroom is completely dark (cover every window) then if necessary take 2 sleeping pills.

Lately, "The funny 820 AM" tune-in radio app. seems to knock me out, pretty good.
