Dammit. During cleanup I saw a can of crushed tomatoes that was supposed to be in the stew. It was hiding in plain view on the counter. :annoyed:

Here is the ingredients list. The recipe was for an hour cook in a pot so I just put everything in the crockpot for 7. The dried chilies I soaked in warm broth for a bit a pureed them like you do. Green peppers roasted under the broiler, skins removed, and chopped. I also cubed and browned the chuck. The bacon got cooked and crumbled. Everything else as is into the party.

I looked for it the other day and didn't see it but this was only at my local grocery store. I wonder if our Total Wine has it.

Made chili for the crew, stewed it up yesterday, brought it out and let it heat up and simmer on location. Makes for a very happy crew!

I make my own rendition of "debdoozies blue ribbon chili" each time is a little different, this one had 2 lbs of ground beef with 2 lbs of ground sausage.

Yeah....just nowhere near me it appears. I saw that some time ago but couldn't distinguishing it was actually the original.

Yes. And its delicious, although the chili doesn't need it, so I go for 1 bowl with, and one without.
