I like red pepper flakes, and Tapatio. Sometimes I add Cayenne.

I'm not crazy about Tapatio; it almost reminds me of a smoky chipotle hot sauce which I'm not a big fan of.

We're not sure. She's tested negative for Celiac's, but she's got all of the symptoms (lethargy, headaches, fever, etc. the day after eating anything gluten-y) so we've cut it out anyway.

Probably a gluten sensitivity. The wife has celiac and goes into gut wrenching, curl-up-in-a-ball-and-scream pain within minutes of eating gluten. Cross contamination with cookware gives her the symptoms you describe

    Excellent, thanks

Yeah, we have a buddy that has the full-blown Celiac's who has a similar reaction to that. Usually along with a visit from Montezuma.

A bag of dried beans (2 lbs?) I rinse the beans a couple times. We usually use chicken broth but we didn't have any so I made 4 cups of beef bullion. I sliced a pound of Cajun sausage. It came with some ham seasoning so I put that in too... Cooked on low all day...

We have a batch of buffalo chicken thighs going right now. I'm going by the Mexican mart on the way home for some peppers so hopefully they have torta bread for some samms.

Used the original 'crock pot' today.
Venison chili on the left, baked beans w/homemade salt pork on the right.

Edit: Both turned out better with high, uneven heat and the occasional rotation than anything I can make in the kitchen. Real wood smoke flavor = out-f@*king-standing
