Cooked last nite, no pics coz I didn't take any. Turned ok, just ok. Tonite, leftovers. I had some mushroom that were gonna go bad, so saute and add after nuke the meat in a bowl. Lots of juice left in the bowl, so french dip?!! Was freaking awesome!

Thanks Curt, yeah being a retired Navy Pit Snipe Chief I always ran a pretty tight ship. The Ex often said too tight.

Youngest is 27, been battling Advanced Stage IVB cancer for several years now. First year was chemo hell took a full year to get through what should have been only 6 months of chemo. But went into remission for a year after chemo. It's back and he doesn't want to go through chemo again. Some days he can't even keep food down and some days he just doesn't eat anything. So I try to keep weight on him and his energy levels up.

Older is 30 and in the top 5% of severity for OCD cases in the US. Must have got it from his mother LOL. Moved back in a couple of months ago he is level 2 tech support for Apple Computer so doing OK but can't drive or get around on his own. He had 3 second job interviews this week for companies in the North East. He is hell bent on moving to a big city someplace where there is better mass transportation than in bumphuck nowhere. He will be moving soon and I likely will not be seeing much of him after that.
Be just the dog and I again before long. But yes overall I am starting to think I may be getting soft in my "older" age, but I'm not old yet :anonymous:

Chuck roast again today in the crock. Damn good. I seasoned with spg, pan seared on both sides with evoo. Sliced an onion and put a quart of beef broth in the crock. Set on high for two hours, then low until it couldn’t be lifted with a fork.

    No pics, sorry.

Deer shoulder. Packet of ranch, few table spoons of butter and some pepperoncini. Cook for at least 7 hours on low, pull it apart add brown gravy mix to the broth and throw the meat back in for a quick soak

NEVER too late to take up hunting no matter what the situation. You can do it! But don't ever say "Honey this is the last gun I will ever need or buy". Just saying...
