What are you going to use to fill it? These regulators are crazy expensive at our pressures.

I'm going to do like JW and not use a regulator.

After using that kind of pressure, I'm definitely not going to do that lol. Gonna run the resivoirs and see what kind of pressure that yields before I buy anything though.

i have extended brake lines and they were definitely needed. i need even longer in the rear after seeing them on the lift at CBI...they're TIGHT! the shackle flip definitely pushes them to their limits.

fronts are fine now which i would prefer..do you really want to stress something as important as your brake lines?

Nope. Since we have to do the rear anyhow, we're going to
Go ahead and do the front at the same time.

I ordered resis a couple weeks ago for the same reason. Not sure how far about they are now but I was quoted like 4 weeks IIRC. I am going to get limit straps as well and flip the top hat. Hopefully I have the rear end done by then and I can just level it out.

As for the regulator, I just can't justify dropping that kind of money on something I will use like twice a year...

After seeing that kind of pressure kill someone, I'll figure something out. Turbotorch makes some inexpensive ones iirc.

Haha no not personally, when I dropped off the regulator I rented they have a box of 'man killers'. Regulators that have all killed people from improper use. The craziest one was an oxygen regulator. Guy had it sitting on his workbench not hooked up but he left it at its previously used setting instead of backing it to zero. Something crawled in the intake and died. When he attached it to his bottle, it was still at that previous pressure so it flooded with oxygen, the carcass of whatever was in there became the fuel, and the friction from the instant flooding of pressure became the heat source and sparked. Instant bomb. Blew the dudes head off.

Pretty wild! When you said something had crawled into it, I kept waiting for story to end with someone basically getting shot with an oxygen propelled carcass...

You Guys will most likely need the same pressure to lift the truck you will just have more volume giving you a better ride.

Still want them. It has to change the pressure SOME doesnt it? Maybe not all that much but if you're displacing more gas I'd think mathematically you'd need less psi. I disn't make it that far in math though :0

I don't think the changes will be much defiantly not enough to get you down to a 600psi regulator. I'm adding them to mine just to make it easier to get to my fill valve.

I am not familiar enough with the pressure physics. I'm an electrical engineer not mechanical. haha I know a lot of it will be based on the surface area on the shaft which adding resi's isn't going to change. I'm not sure how much the surface area of the rest of the chamber plays in, but adding resi's will increase that. haha

This is what ORI says about them,

I'm assuming you can just break the ideal gas law down to P1V1 = P2V2, where P1V1 is volume and pressure at ride height and P2V2 is when the shaft is either compressed or extended from ride height.

Say for no resi's the ride height volume is 5L and at full stuff it is half that so 2.5L, a 50% change. I'm guess adding in resi's will be say 6L volume at ride height and at full stuff you will how 3.5L volume so only about a 40% drop in volume instead of 50%. I'm thinking that is the key to the change in ride.

So 700 psi with no resi,
    700*5 = x*2.5 so x = 1400psi at full stuff

    700 psi with resi
    700*6 = x*3.5 so x = 1200 psi at full stuff

So you are now seeing lower pressures are the suspension stuffs which should result in a smoother ride. I have no idea what the actual numbers are though, but that should at least get the idea across.

The don't have to be vertical you just have to make sure the pick up tube is on the bottom.
