Yeah my dealer sucks for parts. They overcharge and doesnt price match. I paid like $16 shipped with tax.

Was it a easy swap like you dont have to take anything else apart? Thanks

    Planning on making the order,
I do hope it turns out to be the right part.
Part number is correct but the image and description is wrong.

Thankfully I used a 2 post lift at my work, and transmission jack to support the wheel/tire/suspension while I removed the bolt, but even changing it out at home with jacks/jack stands shouldn't be too hard.
That has to be the right bolt, I thought the actual cam bolts were alot more expensive?

I know it isn't rubbing, this noise only happened recently, like the beginning of this year. I had rubbing before on stock and it sounded different. The current noise is a metal on metal type of sound.

Just buy the oem 4 runner one mentioned a few threads prior to this. That is the best option. Same fit and finish and you can re-use the nut and washer.

The length of the shank is between 35 and 40mm (I just measured it using pictures online and it should be around 38mm), I didn't measure it before installing the new bolts, as I just measured the total length (shank and threads) to make sure the bolt was not going to be too short.

Just to be clear: it could still be rubbing if you haven't had your alignment checked in a while. Alignments can knock out and shift over time, especially if you spend any time off road, and will result in rubbing.

Full lock in reverse is classic rubbing. Hard to imagine it's the same issue here.

My bolts should be here on Wednesday I’ll take the time to do the side to side comparison.

Edit: to be clear I ordered the 4runner bolts.

Ahahaha, meet you at Papas and Beer!!!

As far as the bolt specs, they are rated the same, only difference is the head bolt size being 1mm smaller and I believe the Belmetric has the better finish(protective coating?)

Overall…totally flying sky high on this mod. The truck feels like a “new” truck again. I have to find a reason to drive it now.

I couldn’t stand it sometimes. And…the shame that comes with it!!! I hated rolling into large parking lots…6:30 in the mo’ning…I see the speed bump…say a quick prayer…and “click” causing everyone nearby to look :anonymous: Not cool.

So…2 faults left!!! The other infamous sound coming from under the dash, some have said it’s the ECM or 4WD computer. It drives me nuts. Only happens when it’s cold. A tap that annoys one to no end. When the sun hits the dash, it goes away. I just have to get the sack for that one! And the last annoying sound is the 4WD knob. Fucking squeeky som’bitch drives me nuts too. Should be a click!!!!! I’ve seen videos on that one, just pondering what to do. Try to fix it, or just buy a new one $240 or so.

Thasit…that’s the only “pisses me off” stuff left. Almost there for a sweet truckin’ ride.

There's never an easy mod. This is the exception. Like, 10min for me.

Jack it and pull the wheel. Pull the nuts. Use a screwdriver between the LCA and and coilover to relieve any remaining preload. Push a new bolt through front to back. And, push a new bolt through back to front.

Torque the nuts on the ground.

the stock nuts and washers are the same size? So one would only need the 4runner bolts to do this mod?

I usually get a yearly alignment, and my last one was in November 2022. Prior to January-ish the noise has never occured before.

I have had these 265/70/17's since 5k miles. From 5k-15k I had rubbing when under compression and turning. At 15k I got my TRD Pro Fox suspension, and haven't had rubbing since. I'm at 43k now.
