Texas is way closer than CO or Moab.. I’m just saying. If y’all want to do both, I’m happy to host a full on camp out on my land. Plenty of room.

Texas (my land)is about 16 hours (that location more like 18-20)

Moab or CO is roughly 30-32

I drove from Salt Lake to Wilmington a little over a year ago.. it took 39 hours driving around 14-16 hours a day in a badass minivan. Lifted OR vehicles its gonna take a bit longer.. or maybe it’s just that my Jeep ain’t nearly the highway vehicle, the Tacoma is when it’s comparably modified (comparably is a loose term)

I got family in San Antonio with a first gen runner and a built 80 series cruiser.

I drove to Dallas in 16hrs. Could easily do this trip in 1 day with enough 5hr energy shots.

Totally doable in a day from where y’all are. I used to do it on a regular basis from Asheville. It ain’t fun, but it’s doable

Seriously, y’all want a spot that’s about 4 hours shy, to recharge and camp. I’ll give you directions to my land. If I’m free, I’ll go down with you. I’m planning on driving down end of Aug and being in central Texas (not far from Mason) on Labor Day. I have an annual golf trip in San Saba Labor Day weekend

I did a turn and burn from Kansas City to Colorado and back in a day for rock sliders. 1238 miles. 18 Hours and 34 Minutes of straight driving. Had to wait at the guys place for about 30-45 minutes since I forgot about the time zone difference and got to his house an hour early. Guy was a champ and got off work early to meet me.

    16 hours? Easy.

Small victories with getting stuff done before upcoming wheeling trips and needed to do stuff. Got the bed lights wired up today and replaced the faulty relay for my ditch lights. Check those 2 things off my list!

Have gotten a bunch of stuff done over the past few days. The list is dwindling down thankfully. Working on the truck is fun but I would rather be out having fun with it. Rock lights harness is made and ran. Just have to make the brackes for them and mount the rock lights. Oil change, t-case, and F diff fld changes are happening this week. Not sure I'll get to the trans fluid before DTOR. Hopefully ordering the Lunchbox locker fri.

What lenght rear brake lines you running? 28”?

I have $1500 to blow and thinking either 1) front bumper, 2) 63 swap parts, or 3) front King coilovers.

    29"

Personally I'd do that Hybrid then some other odds and ends to make the truck more functional like rear leaf pack. Skip the 63 swap for now trust me on that one.

Or just buy lots of little odds and ends to make the truck more useable/utilitarian. Air compressor, tools, etc.

No hybrid. I want full hoops. Maybe Mobtown or CBI. I don’t like the hoop arrangement on Ed’s 3rd gen front.

Why no 63 swap? I’d spend more on a Blackout HD leaf pack, shock relocate w/ 2.0 King’s, and shackle flip.

I agree with skip on a front bumper. Imo it’s essential to wheeling. Greater approach angle, front recovery points and a place to mount a winch. That’s a “first step” kinda item whereas Kong’s and 63s can be later down the road when it’s time to upgrade.

I agree with Skip & Randall.

If you plan on hitting trails you should not chance the front end of your vehicle to oem plastic.

He's got the winch and an SOS streamline right now. But still a full front has better approach angles and clearance.
You'll spend more than that on a GOOD 63 swap. You can always take a leaf pack like Joe's or Dobinsons then later add to it with a shackle flip or HH. Then a shock relocate and slowly upgrade the rear suspension. You go 63s and you have to go full send all at once.

Ahhh I didn’t realize that. I’d still agree of the options to go full plate. Then the slimline could be sold to offset the cost.

I did, but it’s the weekend and we’re closed :D jk I skimmed but forgot to respond. What’d you ask again?

Edit: went back and checked. No upcoming sales and for front bumpers about 12-14 weeks I believe

If you want ones that follow the lines of the truck throw Victory 4x4 into the mix theirs is pretty sexy too.
